Why are the biggest scammers on the "Good People" list endorsed from CCP?

CCP really? Saying Goons are the one the the top friendlist alliances to for new players? What are you drinking?

What you have done is say you are behind scammers and have endorsed Goons publically so that more new players will be scammed and lose all they have. Which results in more unsubs and less revenue. I am ashamed of CCP allowing this. If this is how CCP wishes to be known, as endorsing scammers and encouraging it by making Goons look legit, then I will be looking hard at if I want to continue paying.

I have no real issues with scamming and griefing. But to have the devs not only encourage scamming and greifing but to help Goons scam is truly sickening and proves Eve has changed for the worst. When CCP says a corp/alliance is friendly to new players only tricks new players into believing Goons are good and nice. Then Goons scam even more and are endorsed by Eve doing so. Eve has been going downhill for a long time. I have played since 2007 and am saddened at how CCP is allowing the Goons to destroy the greatest game ever.

And CCP is helping Goons scam by making them look like friendly players. After the mittani scandal I almost quit, the slap on the wrist was a joke. Now this just makes me realize Goons have taken over Eve, have won the game, and have ruined it for many others. And I know your numbers of subs suck more than ever.

All that will happen now is more people will get scammed, Eve will sink further into a reputation as a griefing game and more people will leave. Have fun with your 30k or so people who like griefing and being their worst to others. I love this game and I have hoped for change. I am hanging on hoping for a change but the only thing I see is Eve is getting worse and worse.

They are really good to their own newbies. See the Goon wiki.

If you had ever been a part of the CFC, you'd realize how welcoming we are to new players. Particularly TEST.

I regularly fly with genuine 1 day old characters who are members of GSF in their newbie fit rifters. They have one of the most extensive Wikipedias (if not the most) on about EVE gameplay.

Just saying.

We have to get rid of the stupid ones somehow, I know at this point it's like throwing a deck chair off the Titanic but you know, its a step in the right direction.

Search button, this has already been discussed.

I usally write one of these and then change it a month later when I reread it and decide it sounds stupid.

New players never get scammed by goons.... they have noting worth taking.

Seriously goons are the most newbie friendly alliance i have ever flown with. Seen any day one newbies in -A- or solar's fleets lately?

Just because Goons happen to be among the biggest scammers in EVE does not preclude them from being one of the most helpful groups in EVE.

They drink beer a lot by the looks of it. That habit doesn't really change the fact that Goons are very newbie friendly… as long as you're a Goon.

Funny that. CCP most certainly has issues with griefing and they definitely do not encourage it. Griefing newbies in particular is a very quick way to get tossed out on your ears.

it's had that reputation for years and more and more people have come. People who actually believe the nonsense and start griefing soon find themselves banned.

scammers are only enemies of those feeble enough to be scammed.

to everyone else they're intrepid entrepreneurs.

OP clearly doesn't get EVE.

And this is coming from someone who wants to [/facedesk] every time someone even mentions goons.

But at least the lemming goonie above me spelt "honourable" correctly!

Star Wars: the Old Republic may not be EVE. But I'll take the sound of dual blaster-pistols over "NURVV CLAOKING NAOW!!!11oneone!!" any day of the week.

You forgot the part where GSF and TEST are responsible for bringing MANY new players into the game and getting them into 0.0, making them have fun and making CCP more money by causing said new players to sub.

You probably don't know what Something Awful and Reddit is if you think they don't bring new players in and help them.

Inappropriate signature, CCP Phantom.

Yeah, reminds me of Jita local the other day.

There was this idiot linking a contract and asking where the scam in it was. (It was one of those "buy one PLEX, and give it back along with the money in the same transaction" scams, BLATANTLY OBVIOUS, only morons miss that one).

I spent half a ******* hour in a private chat explaining to the moron word for word what the scam was, and he still didn't get it.

I swear the player base has gotten dumber since I started at the beginning of 2007.

I never scam, and I really don't like scammers, but GOD DAMN when I see such examples of retardedness I WISH they get scammed just to make them quit and GTFO and increase the player base IQ average.

Inappropriate signature, CCP Phantom.

Goonswarm are teaching an invaluable lesson to new players: don't give your money to random people just because they say so.
