*Drone Hitpoints* Invisible inside the Drone Bay??

I am a dedicated Gallente drone pilot. I love the little buggers. They have served me well. There's just one thing that makes absolutely no sense to me. You can monitor their shields, armor and hull while they're in space, but when they get pulled into your ship you don't have that information anymore. Why can't we see their status inside our own drone bay? It feels wrong. What can we do to get this implemented? The floor is yours.

Said it before and I say it again - drones need to be completely re-done from the ground up.

The inability to see HP when they're in bay is just one of many examples why drone UI needs to be re-done. It's fairly silly, the way it is now.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but launching a specific flight of drones requires a minimum of 3 clicks (4 if you want to look at the contents of the specific group. To see their HP requires an additional click when they're in space. Compare that to any module that activates with a single click, and turrets/missiles which can all be grouped to activate with a single click.

The drone AI still needs fixing as well. Even with focus fire enabled, there's still a very good chance drones will head for whatever they feel like. Two-way splits happen fairly often, but I've even seen a 3-way split.

Target-picking is another issue. Theoretically if target was a frigate and it dies, the drones would head for the next nearby frigate. In practice, I've seen them ignore multiple frigates 2 km away and burn to 30km to engage a BS/BC.

Various races' drones need to be made more lucrative. Most people carry Minmatar drones or Gallente drones. Some carry Caldari for EWar purposes, but not really combat. And I never see anyone using Amarr drones. Etc.., etc.

There's a whole slew of fixes that has to be done for this weapon system before it is even remotely competitive.

Are you saying drones aren't competitive? Big smile

Oh,drones are just fine, in fact they're overpowered. That's why everyone and their grandma is flying drone boats, and we never see Drakes, Canes and Tengus used anywhere...

So lemme get this right, you don't see see the Curse, Vexor, Pilgrim, Domi, Navy Domi, Ishtar, Ishkur or Arbitrator being used? Because they're all pretty popular ships

Drone AI needs constant attention, and use of them requires lots of clicks and micromanagement. That's irritating.

They're also too easily popped without you noticing by mission rats, IMO. Drones working on something one minute, divert attention to micromanaging shield/cap levels, look back, and one's gone. Expensive T2 drones, hard-to-find-nearby Ewar drones, whatever.
