Anyone who knows how to evewho someone and read their killmails will look at a guy with ****** killmails like that and choose him as their mark.

Its actually a helpful tool in that aspect. IMHO only people who don't understand KM's hate them.


I don't hate them, but I think that they promote blobbing and safe pvp. When I first started to pvp way back in the day, I thoughts KMs were pretty cool. That idea lasted right up to the point that we waited for everyone that was online to finish off a badger. One guy was ten minutes out. After that, KMs meant little to me...it wasn't indicative of skill, it was fluff.

Honestly, they need an overhaul, as in whomever gets the kill shot gets the KM. Those who helped can get honorable mention, of course, but it no way should they get a kill credit. If the only way you get credit for a kill is to be the one who gets the kill shot, I can bet you that there would be more people looking for fights in smaller groups or even solo to up their odds. People like their fluff.

I get the feeling this happens quite a bit by people not as transparent as Keyanu and so maybe harder to detect.


Are you actually worried that someone might look at a killboard full of day 1 noob ship kills and somehow come to the conclusion that the pilto repeatedly killing a noob ship is a good PVP pilot?

I don't know whether to feel bad that you are that dumb or insulted that you think the rest of the world is that dumb.
