Any lowsec pvp/pirate corporations looking for an alliance to work with? Heretic Nation is searching for one or two more medium sized corps to build a relationship with.

Convo me in game or join "Heretic Pub" and you'll find a director in there most of the day

Lately, Heretic has developed the reputation of metagaming PVP by using the Orca game mechanic to their advantage. Eg; if your ship is about to go down, you eject and then scoop it into an Orca. This is frowned upon by many in the pvp community.

I'm well aware that not everyone believes in "e-honor". But I do believe if you are as good of a PVP pirate corp as you say you are, then you shouldn't have to resort to such things.

What is your position on this usage of the game mechanic? Are you perfectly fine with any combat pilot using this? Or do you proactively try to deter it ? I would like to know because I'm interested in what type of pvp culture you want to build for Heretic. I prefer corps that go down swinging rather than this whole self destruct my carrier crap or Orca scoop or whatever other mechanic you can think of.

And yes, I'm well aware that I"m an alt but I do belong to a small pie corp down in Minnie space that would like to consider you. Thank you.

My personal feelings on Orca gatecamping are different than those I have as a leader of Heretic Army.

Personally: I'm not a huge fan. Mostly because I'm not a huge fan of gate camping in general. I find that activity boring, and would much rather be out in a gang or soloing in the belts. I gate camp about one day a month. I try to limit myself from camping any more than that. I don't personally own an Orca or even a fast tackle T3 for camping (I use to use my Onyx for gate camping).

As a leader: I'm not one to tell others how to play the game. I mean, I do hold the right as a leader to limit certain activities or encourage/push different activities within my corp. But I'm not going to ban gate camping with an Orca if some of my guys get a laugh doing it.

The handful of Heretics that have Orcas and use them to "risk-free" gate camp the Oso gate are doing it for profit. Some players like to run missions, others like to play the market. These pilots have found a way to loot and ransom dozens of kills a day without much risk.

They are raising personal funds, as well as funds for the corp's ship replacement program and things like ATX. I can't complain about that.

The Eve community has exaggerated ideas involving Heretics orca camping activities. It isn't all we do, its not even half of what we do. About 1/3 of the corp orca camps the gate, and they don't do it as a form of PVP. Hell, many of our pilots join a camp less than once a month. They are too busy running gangs around surrounding systems, ganking mission runners, or out soloing. If you look through our KB, you'll see plenty of variety.

Bottom line... Heretics LOVE small gang PVP. We love solo PVP. We love the rush you get from taking on a gang thats twice your size. We just happen to also camp the gate for profit. We are pirates after all.

And I do love the rage we get from ppl complaining about the use of an Orca =)

We would have brought one to the ATX if we could have :P
