I am still amazed that someone complains about their ship being buffed.

Too bad we can't monitor your chats for the rest of your life to see if you ever say that you like the Velator after the buff. In which case all your ISK and property should be taken away for being a hypocrite.
Obviously, your funds should go to me. Roll

I have already said that the new ship is sorely needed.
But why is the Velator no longer needed?

They all have their uses

The Atron is supreme galente agility

The Velator is the first ship in the Gallente drone ship line..
though it is the Imicus that teaches new players about drones,
ready for Vexor and beyond..

But these ships are rubbish we are now told

The clever devs have made ships that are more appropriate..

Well fine,
But do not throw out the baby with the bathwater

These are new ships and do not replace anything.
You are taking away Eves frigates because you recon they are crap.

They are not crap

CCP are saying that all the people that played EvE for, what? 8-9 years often,

played with rubbish

The problem here is that few people actually know these ships,
and that goes for CCP too.

You once again are stabbing in the dark to get it right.
Disregarding all that has gone before.

Easily led, you are going to present EvE with ships designed by
people in the forums with the loudest mouths

We can all surmise all day.
But who is left at CCP that knows eve well enough to throw away its ships.

When this is over there will be no Velator, and there will be no ship to replace it

This is amking me laugh. One topic about Waaaaaaaaaaaa rookie ships are getting frigate stats while, at the same time, another discussion is going on Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa the frigates are getting slotted into new roles.

CCP really can not satisfy everyone. So let them do their thing and offer the broadest spectrum choices for players. Hell most of you whiners most likely will fly cookie cutter things anyways.

To explain why I think this discussion is idiotic: You are complaining about the literally ROCK BOTTOM of ships in Eve. There is no worse PvE ship in the game. It is literally the most basic training ship with training wheels.
And you people make it sound as if CCP personally walked into your bedroom and took a **** on you while you slept.

This is why the internet can never have nice things: you complain about everything.

I know you may not recognise one, but that's a woman... You can, with "real" ones, do things far more satisfying than playing EVE - and you don't even have to pay some of them!

Certainly mouths it around like a man

I am prepared like everyone to lose the frigates i love for better models

It will be sad, but we are moving on.

This thread was started for the velator

It is the baseline Gallente ship
It is a ship that has given me as much fun, in pve
and probably more challenge, than any other ship

It beauty is its simplicity
Its strength is its weakness.

Will we ever look at epic kills by velators
on the killboards, again with the same awe?

No we will not

Your posts in this thread have provided me with more enjoyment than any velator I've owned.

When you ragequit over these changes
will we be able to read your threads, again with the same amusement?

No we will not

So in effect this thread is espousing the sentiment of:

The game is fine how it is, never make any changes at all.

'cause quite frankly, you can almost always find one person who likes a particular ship or feature when hundreds or thousands do not.

Thus we end up with a stagnant game that is no fun any more and we all have to go play the worst MP game ever: Real Life.

I disagree, I provided a suggestion:

Sovai Elaaren wrote:

Here's a suggestion; With the new buffed stats of the velator, try doing something harder than a level 2, maybe it will be even more satisfying than before.

You never did respond to that. I understand what you're getting at, I just don't know why you simply can't try increasing the difficulty of the challenge to set for yourself. Yes, the bonuses are changing, but it's still the same ship, it's just more useful now.

OK I will respond to you

I did respond to your suggestion,
although it showed a complete lack of understanding.

I have already got choices if i want a stronger ship.
As I told you earlier, if you bothered to read anything you did not write.

The imicus will do easy lvl4 and is a good lvl3 ship

The Velator is the most basic fit possible

I will go further and say that

There is no finer ship to teach you how to handle spaceships like a pro

It is a bare knuckle ride that works

Eve will be very much poorer for eliminating a whole class of ships
and replacing them with nothing

It is no coincidence that an advanced pilot can go back to lvl2 missions
and have lots of fun.
It was because of game balencing.

The dear old makers of eve had a deep understanding of everythings relationship to eachother.

They, I guess, were sacked for not being greedy.
Now we have stabs in the dark.

Maybe I'm just being thick, but is he trying to make his posts some kind of poetic verse? If so I can't figure out the meter.

As for you, Mr. Flux, I don't understand your plight. The fitting system of EVE ensures you can make a ship as ****** as you like. Why not take a new velator, or even a navitas or something, armor tank it, fit a few shield power relays and cargohold expanders and whatever else you can find that makes it more terrible, and have a ball? You can almost certainly make ships even worse than the current velator with a little fitting ingenuity.
