Ok i am going out on a limb here and am going to say we need to do something about NPC alts...

now that ganking has been fixed, NPC corps are too much of a good thing...

Solution should be after one month in a NPC corp you should auto switch to faction warfare or be kicked out of the NPC corp and be freelance where you can get a personal war dec...

IMO after a month if you have not found a player corp you should have to be moved to faction warfare...

this would also help war decs and make it so large alliances cant just use npc high sec alts to move stuff around...

edit: new problem is that people can not attack miners in high sec anymore and make a profit and they cant war dec them either...

so if you want the luxury of mining in high sec you should face the risk of being at war...

Why should we put players in NPC corps in the first place? Let's make a "no corporation" kind of employment thing. The way this would work is that you have a flat tax % (like the NPC corps do) applied to characters in no corporations. Make up some lore reason like the empire doesn't like solo players not in an officially recognized corporation or something.

This would also solve the wardec issue because you could make it so every individual player in no corporations can be wardecced.

Voila, you have people who have the same tax rate as people in NPC corps and they can be wardecced.

But then again this is GD, no ideas around here will ever go anywhere. Post in F&I

Get over it. Sandbox means they can do what they want just like you can do what you want.

Also, lol at this coming from a NPC corp alt.

You will notice I always advocate when aspects of the game are wrong... I lobbied for a mining boost and am happy with its results... Next on my list is npc corps...

Oh only reason I post with this char is due to me not wanting my corp/alliance being punished ingame for my opinion... This char is a jita/cyno alt

I thought you said ganking was "fixed".

NPC corps serve more than one purpose..

What would happen to exiles for lack of activity.. How would you manage help for new people; NPC starter corps allow people to ask for specific racial help in a sympathetic live forum. How will you justify the changes in employement history? - freelance tells you less than nothing about the character in history (at least with NPC corps you have an implied regional history? How do you wardec a single non-corp affiliated player and what are the mechanics of how much it costs and how long it lasts.. What is a noob; how long can you stay in an NPC corp and what about people with characters they never played that are returning the the game in a noobish state.. So freelance? no "Corp taxes"? Does that mean a freelance player can not post in C&P? So this means that experianced players have to stay out of new corp chat where they might be helpful - and that CCP has to super populate the chat with GMs? So less of a pool of people to draw from in NPC corp chat for recruiting purposes?

1. there is a help chan

2. i'm more for puting them in faction warfare...

3. if you want to get new players in your corp get an alt in a militia.

4. i would qualify someone as a noob if they are less then a few months old... you could have a metric that the longer they are in a npc corp the higher the tax rate goes untill it maxes out at 100%...

i think in the end npc corps are too powerfull in thier abiltiy to avoid wars... and one of the reasons people who suicide gank miners is due to the fact alot are in npc corps and cant be attacked any other way... plus forcing a playing into a militia where they are constantly already at war would encourage them to join a player corp or even move out of high sec and join a 0.0 alliance...

""1. there is a help chan ""

Yes, there is but it's not regional.. with NPC corp chat you can ask region and race specific questions and get better answers many times.

""2. i'm more for puting them in faction warfare... ""

How is the decision made which faction to place them in ...location, standing, race, or random selection? ..and what if they are not available to ask for a preference.. If they are placed in a faction to whom their location is hostle, are they physically auto moved with all their property as well?

""3. if you want to get new players in your corp get an alt in a militia.""

so militia channels would be the new overflow spam chat for generic questions and recruting.

""4. i would qualify someone as a noob if they are less then a few months old... you could have a metric that the longer they are in a npc corp the higher the tax rate goes untill it maxes out at 100%..""

So they will not be auto ejected.. does this mean people can just stay in an NPC corp and engage in non taxable activity if they like? Such as griefing, salvaging, or minng?

""i think in the end npc corps are too powerfull in thier abiltiy to avoid wars... and one of the reasons people who suicide gank miners is due to the fact alot are in npc corps and cant be attacked any other way... ""

This is certainly a rationalization they use to excuse their ganking but it's no where near the whole story.. especially when you look at the list of affiliated players who are ganked..completely circumventing the wardec system. I feel it's important to point out that ganking has not been ended at all. It was never about profit - if you listen to the gankers themselves they will tell you that.. so I expect ganking will go on..just with a more fair exchange of ship value.

""plus forcing a playing into a militia where they are constantly already at war would encourage them to join a player corp or even move out of high sec and join a 0.0 alliance""

This is where I part company with so many .. as I feel high sec play is a valid form of play in the game that should be a totally different but equal experiance to other areas. Don't blame the lack of population, success, or popularity of some areas on high sec. A sec region needs to succeed on it's own merit or languish not trying in vein to succeed by penalizing other areas.

ok so they can enhace constilation chat to region and have the option to turn off and on.

i would base which faction you are on primary on race but then on standings...

so if you are new to the game you wind up in your race faction but a vet will be fore whom he has best standings...
(i would also advocate having pirate npc having faction warfare too)

YOU want to force everyone into wardecs but you are self afraid of a wardec, so that you post with an NPC alt in order to prevent trouble for your current corp? Lol

Wardecs for everyone.. except for you?

To follow your arguments you think it would be right to force YOU to go to Iraq or Afghanistan so that someone else could have fun with you in RL? Not everyone will participate into all aspects of EVE. So you should not try to force them.

Or in other words: CCP can try to force you to participate at PvE with a minimum of 32 hour per week. Blink
