Gankers, i come to you today not as a highsec Publord, but as a sympathetic voice, i come here to ask you.

Why do you hate us for the Mining Barge changes?

Why do you Hate us for decisions which were outside of our hands?

You complain that your activity will no longer be profitable, but you are being short-sighted.

Who Pays your Hulk bounty?

Goons do!

Who decides how much that bounty is?

Goons do!

As referenced by the AT:X OTEC Adverts 70% of a Hulks value comes from technetium, with hulks at roughly 280 million ISK thats 196 million ISK of Tech for every Hulk, and with all that money coming in the Goons only pay you a paltry 10 million per hulk? Rise up and demand more from your overlords, you really think they can't afford to make Hulk ganking profitable again?

"Technetium' isn't a direct component of hulks. It has to be reacted... then you need a T1 hull, morphite, datacores, etc.

I think you're simplifying the manufacturing process here more than a little bit.
Hulks are more than just moon goo.

So the way to fix this is to go after the moon goo harvesters?

Hey, it's OTEC who made those claims not me, now let us seem them back it up, Gankers i'd argue a fair price per hulk these days would be 50million what say you?

Supply/Demand... goons will set the price at whatever price gankers will gank for.

In a surprsingly ironic turn of events the miners got buffed and the goons precious moon goo got ganked, mittani tears all round I think.

Come on now... He's not exactly denying those costs.

The basic idea of his post is correct. Regardless of the other costs involved, the ratio of direct profit versus the payout for the gank is very close to the claim, especially when you have a monopoly on the base resource and can control its price.

Regardless of what you think abut Hulkageddon/Miners/Gankers/Goon, this fact is undeniable.

Suicide gankers undervalue their salary. But maybe some of them dont care. As long as it covers costs of loosing a ship and dealing with security hits, it may be fine to them, Not everyone wants to make profit, or understand what real profit is.
