Can you queue the same training skill from level 1 - 5 back to back?

I've had a look around to try and find an answer to this noob question and I came across http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Skill_training which says " If you wish to add another level of the same skill, simply drag it to the right hand side again. This will allow you to train a skill in succession from level 1, level 2, and so on."

I've put electronics upgrades IV (3hrs remaining) and V (11d) back to back in the queue and it seemed fine. Came back later and the queue was empty (had not started electronics upgrades V).

So does anyone know whether you can queue the same skill back to back because I just lost 5d of training and I don't want another repeat?

Once you reach 1D in your queue, you cannot add anymore, so chances are after you put Electronic's IV which would have taken you over a day, Electronics V was not added to the queue.

However, once you attempted to add Electronics V you should have gotten a warning message that stated that wasn't possible.

You can only que up what is within a 24 hour period. After that it just requires you to wait.

For most skills (up to a skill time multiplier of 5 I believe) this means that you can que up the first 3 levels of that skill. After that the cumulative time is over 24 hours but you can que it up the next morning.

If your attributes change, example: you get podded and lose your implants, skills that once fit in the queue may no longer.

When you use the training queue specifically, you have to click 'apply' before you close it out.

Best method is to use your character/skills interface and select 'add to end of queue'.
Just right click the skill directly.

thanks for the reply guys.

I had started electronic upgrade IV for a while and was down to 3hours remaining then I decided to click and drag electronics V straight after and it stayed in the queue. Before I logged off, they were both back to back with electonics upgrades IV at 3hours remaining and electronic upgrades V at 11d 20h.

So I guessed after the 3hours remaining of electronic upgrades IV it stopped and my training queue remained empty. Is this suppose to happen?

You probably did not hit apply after you dragged V over.

Try petitioning this.

I've had something similar to this happen to me once before. I had 2 skills in my queue and it stopped training after the first skill finished. It didn't empty my training queue, just simply paused the training of the next skill. I didn't realize it till almost a full day later. I created a petition and a GM was able to help me out. He couldn't apply the missed time to the level V skill I had in my queue but was able to use it to take one of my level 3 skills to 4.

With a total queue up to 12ds, I'm very certain I would have checked it several times before I logged off (as I knew I would be absent from the game for a few days). It looks like this shouldn't happen so I'll contact CCP.

Thanks

^^ This is the only thing I can think of that would cause what you describe. I have done it a few times my self while adjusting skill ques. as long as the last skill in the que starts within 24 hours it should work fine. But you must hit apply before closing the window.

Only other possibility is if you started training another character on the same account. It would stop the training on the first character. (although I believe you get a warning ) you can only train one character per account at a time.

Yeah I was kinda disappointed that only one character per account could train skills but haven't trained any skills on my alt as I rarely play on it.

I always get the warning sign up as a safety barrier. I've opened a petition so will see how.
