Because he had no other issues when he was transferred to the tournament system.

Because you know how much time passed between us landing in the system and the start of the match.

Because you're not an idiot who thinks he knows everything better than everyone else.

You would have lost anyways - tell me how you would win that fight...

Your just a cry baby that shows very poor leadership, you should be embarrassed.

Read other threads, a bunch of VoC guys had their modules offlined across multiple matches during the Finals. They had the presence of mind and their discipline to double check and triple check everything. That is what separates the victorious from the defeated, the composure to face the unexpected and adopt on the fly.

P.S. Remember what they say in mother Russia? "Bad dancer always blames his balls".

Yes, I have much to be embarrassed about in this tournament. LOL.

@Gnaw LF: It's much easier when you're not the first one to have these problems, so both you and the GMs have some idea what to do. When this happened to us the 2nd time, of course we did everything right (and the GM helped).

Another thing that contributed to the confusion was that the fitting window showed these modules as online, so we weren't even sure that onlining them would fix the problem. Remember that you can't lock anyone before the match starts, so we had no way to be sure the transporters would work even after onlining them.

And again, I'm not saying the result of the match would have necessarily been different if not for this issue, but it was definitely a factor.

Amazing job.

I can't believe you guys stayed under the radar for literally the entire tournament. Despite some really sophisticated tweaks to working archetypes (sentinels omg), we at the show never really understood how strong of a team you were until the very end.

Congratulations and thanks for the great write up.

Good job VoC and thanks for the write-up, Jedi.

I'll get laughed at though when I tell my SWTOR-playing friend that a Jedi just won Eve!

Faffy, you're a sore loser shitting up an otherwise excellent thread that deserves nothing but congratulations.

An on-topic note:

When it became clear that Verge of Collapse would be one of the finalists, I really really wanted them to win. I have nothing against HUN, and certainly congratulate them as well on their surprising Vargur setup. The odds of Verge of Collapse winning it all on the TEST betting website were 511:1. The odds of PL winning were 1.8:1 - just to give you an idea of how much the bets were stacked against you. I think more people had ISK on Nulli to win it all than VoC. What you dudes did was really impressive. I had no idea who you were before the last weekend.

The reason I wanted you to win is because WH space provides perfect opportunities to go balls-to-the-wall and use Etanas in PvP. Not only does the cloak let you hide your Etanas perfectly should you roam with one in your gang, but the lack of local prevents anyone from identifying whether or not a known Etana pilot is in system. I'm sure you will keep enough Etanas to field one every match next year, but I really hope you take advantage of the environment you play in to use one or two to their fullest. It would be nothing but a pleasure to see some killmails with Etanas whoring on them.

if the team I was in would of been disadvantage in any way buy game mechanics, and if would of been certain that the problem haven't been human i'd rather self destruct all my ships as a protest about it then play like that.

and again about the offline modules i'm certain that if any of you guys would of contacted us and said u have offline modules that are a cause of game mechanics we would of waited for u to get ready even if the mach time had already started!

All the guys are good sports and we always appreciate a good fight!

Just looking at the names in the alliance I had had you guys in the final against HUN, but I couldn't see anyone beating the great HUN team, so congrats on a fantastic victory.

I used the final as cover to get out of Catch cleanly in an SB during a fleet fight.

I warped out with a cry of "Go Verge of Collapse!"

Chuffed you guys won it, gutted I didn't lay any bets.

It was great to have you Verge pilots with us in the Monocle Madness channel.

Favorite moment was after WarGod hero logi-ed that Kronos at 5% structure, when he came back into the channel he was all hyped and people were giving him kudos for keeping your ships together!

Thanks for the great fun and can't wait to see more from you!

being a hun buddy, I can't say "you totally deserved that win!"

You earned it, very true.. whether you would've won if other teams' with "ship issues" were fixed before the start of matches or not is irrelevant. You worked your asses off and have the big win and congrats to you all.

to some people crapping up the thread, lots of teams had problems.. instead of crying at the winners, maybe you should ***** at CCP to make sure it doesn't happen next year.
