Well the last several days have yielded some interesting fights/ganks. I won't go into excruciating detail on every single one but stick to a quick summary of the note worthy actions.

Sunday a scout was following a 7 man battlecruiser gang around and reported them at a safe spot a few jumps away. We formed up an equal man gang and started moving their way. They suddenly all left local and we quickly realized they had exited through a worm hole. We got it probed down and through a nifty set of wing warps and good FCing by our worm hole specialist FC, managed to get each and every single one of them. I can't post a nice killboard summary since it took place in several adjacent systems/wh's.

After a while, if you continually beat the same target over and over, they tend to stop fighting or adapt to your play style. Unfortunately, the fun fights we used to get against groups like Legio have dried up in favor of ~hotdrop within 3 minutes by -A- and be forced to log at safes~.

Jumping around in slower brawler gangs can be frustrating so I decided to revert to nano gangs to find greener pastures. Tonight, I think we found our new sov carebears of choice. 15 empty jumps through Wicked Creek gets us to a nice pocket teaming with local flora and fauna. Hardly 5 minutes after arriving we made our first catch of the day. I didn't know you could fit an Armageddon that cheap. His Megathron friend did not disappoint either fielding a 10mn MWD, heavy missile launchers (t2 for good measure), and an inertia stab.

The great thing about these guys is they will bring a fight if you give them enough time. A random T1 cruiser gang+cane died to us but managed to mask the locals warping in a fleet to fight us. Numbers wise they were surprisingly equal but they brought 3x Basi and much heavier weight of BC's. We were forced to jump out and it looked like once again we would have to log off in shame, trapped in a dead end.

But not this time! I got loki boosts set up in the system where the enemy fleet was camping. We warped to the gate, jumped into a superior fleet, overheated MWD's and burned for the sun. A friendly armor rupture tagging along managed to get pointed and I made the tragic order to leave him behind as a sacrifice for the greater good. A moment later, that rupture happily reported he had escaped in low armor and was on his way to exact revenge for being left behind. All in all, it was a fast paced roam full of excitement. We will be back Wicked Creek!

We used to hit 3B daily, sometimes they would win, sometimes we would win. We stopped visiting every day because the ships just kept amping up and getting more and more expensive. One day we would attack in Frigs, they would bring cruisers, we would bring Nano, they would bring Logi, we would bring Logi, they would bring battleships, we would do armor HAC’s, they would do armor HAC’s.

We soon realized that there is no sense in going after these guys daily…a fight is fine, but it got to the point where one of us would have so much firepower we wouldn’t get fights and vice versa. We decided to steer clear and come and fight them with lesser value ships that way we both get fights.

These guys know what they are doing; they can kill you in many ways. I like them, and if you are interested, I suggest you give them a try. Remember though, Curse is NOT an easy place to live; it is not like SOV space where you are protected by 46 Drakes with 8 Basilisks. If you can survive in Curse, you can survive anywhere. You can’t go wrong with 3B.

And, Yes they are red to us.

Well today was fun.

We were forming up for a nano roam when Xenon Prime came in with a small BS gang. It numbered 3 armor Tempests, an Armageddon, several hurricanes and some fast tackle.

We decided to run nano since we didn't have the numbers online yet to face them head on. It was an entertaining game of "web the tackle with loki boosted rapier" and "re-align celestials to avoid their warp-ins." We managed to put a few of their ceptors into armor without taking any losses and gradually lure them back towards our station. By this time we had enough on to engage them on station so we shipped into armor BS and undocked. They took the bait and went red on station losing an Armageddon and Tempest before being able to dock.

After about 20 minutes of them obviously forming up with Pod Based they undocked and went red on us again. We expected the cyno and sure enough Pod Based Nagflar and Phoenix landed on field. We decided to d-agress since we weren't sure if they planned on escalating or not and would have extracted successfully if jam drones didn't perma jam one of our guardians =(

I haven't done station games in a while and it was actually kind of refreshing =P.

And yes, if you don't join us please join A4d to give us more epic fights

Our best frenemies A4D were engaging a small cap fleet a few jumps away so we tried to scrape together a fleet to spice things up. We scrambled hard but it took us about 10 minutes too long. They were forced off the field and we were left with a 10-15man AHAC gang with nothing to shoot at. Nothing to shoot at until... scout reported a 15 man shield Legio gang skirting around D87 (they scared).

After some brief maneuvering our FC managed to pin them in V-I. Unfortunately, one of our scouts was inexplicably decloaked and tackled by the Legio gang 200km's off gate.

His falcon died as our fleet jumped in. Our ceptor pilot, being a huge carebear, had wrecks on overview and the presence of mind to warp right into the enemy fleet. Only 30 seconds earlier he had said "you guys are going to have to buy me a new malediction." They killed the wreck but it was too late. Their Onyx had it's bubble up and our hero malediction got us the warp in we needed for a glorious 5 seconds before he popped.

Our FC called primary on their scimitar and it went down after a brief delay. A friendly hurricane was primaried and our 3 guardians couldn't keep it alive even overheated because of it's T1 resists. They switched to our Zealot and he never dipped below 50% armor. Next they primaried our harbinger but by this time we had killed a lot of their DPS and they got what they could out.

I'm not sure why they stuck on the field so long but as far as I could tell only 2 drakes and a scimitar got away.

http://brushiebrushiebrushie.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=14138306 (battle report is a bit off but gives the general idea)

A lot of positive changes are coming to Brushie shortly. We have become a more impressive entity based on small gang PvP principles. Some days we fleet up and run 20 man gangs, and others we split into 2-3 smaller nano roams. We are evolving with our friends, and eve is getting more and more fun.

We have had quite a few good days in a row now.

Began forming up last night when a friendly got tackled in a belt a system over. We came to the rescue with 15 in fleet and managed to down a Vaga and Curse, but the enemy Rook got out in structure.

Before we could even trickle back to forming up, a Red Overlord gang was spotted heading our way. They numbered around 15 and scout reported battleships. You guessed it..

AHACS! We found them on station and the fight was on. They brought two Scorpions and were running RR so applying DPS was tricky at first. I was flying guardian again (my new favorite thing to do) and with loki boosts+sig tanking they couldn't even scratch the paint on our zealots. They switched to a T1 fit rupture, and weren't even able to touch him. Their tackle and first Scorpion went down and they started d-agressing. We bumped their abaddon off station and took him down too with no losses. As the fight progressed we picked up a few more randoms (anyone notice that Rokh? lol).

About 15 minutes later they made a break for it but we had a cloaky loki waiting for them. Their Tempest and Typhoon Fleet Issue weren't too happy I'm sure.

If you haven't discovered the joy of AHACS yes, you are missing out.

Love is out there, here at eHarmony Inc. we can help you find it.

This past Sunday was quite nice. Over 35 people logged on to our TS at one time for a new record. Rather than clump up into one blob, we split into 3 separate small gang fleets.

Fleet one went on a deep roam in frigates to Wicked Creek. Their FC is notorious for snagging faction BS, freighters, etc just about every time he goes out.

Fleet two didn't want to go on a 2 hour trek to the edge of the galaxy so they stuck around camping and picked up a few decent kills.

Fleet three was led by me to Catch where things were pretty hot. We busted through several gate camps to get to the carebear systems and on the way one of our Vagabonds got separated from us by an Outbreak gang that was tailing us. Turns out the carebears didn't want to do anything other than sit on station in BC's with 3 carriers undocked. We decided to go link up with our Vagabond and engage the similar sized outbreak gang.

We had 1 Rapier, 3 Vagabonds, Sleipnir, 1 Stiletto. They had a 100mn Tengu, sabre, and I believe a vagabond and a Cynabal. We came from two separate directions as we had been split up. When our lone vagabond hit the gate (we were landing on the other side) the outbreak gang went red so we jumped in and I overheated tackle and got right on the Tengu. Their support was being cautious as we may have surprised them and by the time they switched all dps on to my rapier it was too late for him.

Sometimes we fleet up into 25 man AHAC gangs and sometimes we split up into 2-3 small gangs.

We started off the day with a nice 7v7+ but I lost my rapier when I called in our scimitars 2-3 seconds late Cry. Luckily we have some competent pilots who managed to take down a cynabal, talos, and harpy in revenge.

Then randomly on Tuesday night we had 25 people in fleet and ready to kill stuff. I say randomly because we have been expanding at a steady rate and I'm used to having to apologetically mention to new recruits that we peak on weekends, but have fewer numbers during the week. Recruitment and good fights work wonders on activity.

Unfortunately, it was Tuesday night so we didn't have the usual stream of gangs coming through our pipe in Curse. I set up a fleet to roam. I couldn't decide if I wanted nano brawlers or kity T3's so we just went with Machariels =P.

We snagged a few decent kills and chased off a few potential fights. I thought faction BS were supposed to attract fights dammit! Ultimately we didn't find the fight we were looking for but any day you get on kill mails with multiple Machariels 15 jumps from home, and they all make it back in one piece is a success in my book.

This week we have pulled in 2 new EU TZ guys (1 top 1k on BC, the other top 10k) and another US TZ player.

It has been a busy week for me but the killing must go on!

The month is still young but an early Machariel loss put our efficiency further into the red than we are used to being. A lot of alliances are content with 75% efficiency for the month but we aren't like a lot of alliances. It's not all about the numbers, but they certainly do provide a good reason to get out there and kill ****.

Good fight one was against a T2 BC Unthinkable roam. Their PvPers must have gotten tired of us farming Wicked Creek and props to them for bringing the fight to us for a change. Luckily, it was one of those fights where we began outnumbered but were able to hold the field and bring in back up on the fly.

If I remember correctly it was about 12v12 by the end of it but the battle report is all messed up. The fight began on the gate with myself and xyla in scimitars. We were outnumbered DPS wise quite significantly but we had logi and they didn't. They primaried me first but were splitting DPS somewhat. I overheated invuln and he overheated reps and the fight was on. Our targets started dropping and our tank was holding as a few more back up landed on the gate. Ultimately they were forced to bail giving us 4 kills and no losses. Funny enough they came back about 30 minutes later smack talking with 22 in fleet and ready to fight again but when we got together a 13 man armor gang they booked it before we even aligned to the gate.

Fast forward a day or two and I took out a nano gang. A few small skirmishes on the way out to wicked creek yielded 3 drake kills and a few randoms but when we got to the destination something peculiar happened. A Hulk warped 70km's off of his station, aligned, then proceeded to wait a full 30 seconds while our sabre got tackle on him. We jumped the gang in and downed his 600 mil punching bag. 10 seconds later a crane undocked. We opened up and astonishingly he proceeded to die. Maybe this isn't as noteworthy as the other real PvP we got this week that I'm not covering but it was quite funny at the time.

Recruitment is picking up steam and corp chat is getting fun. Get it while it's hot!

Well I have been busy IRL so less time to post, but after last Sunday how can I resist?

Saturday night left me a tad bit glum. While trying to kite frigates with a tier3 gang I warped my alt to a gate at 100 in a boost Loki with 300 mil in loot. Unfortunately there happened to be a single slasher to decloak me. He got point and I knew I was dead. I jettisoned loot to save the kill board and ejected to save my Pod. Luckily for me the, sov carebears we were fighting stole my Loki and loot. No killmail=didn't happen!

The next morning I woke up to find an Archon+Vargur kill on our boards. Needless to say that got me pumped back up again and it would set the tone for the day to come.

Some other FC's led some bridging and snagged some nice kills but by the afternoon I was ready for some real PvP. We formed up a brawler cane gang and headed off to Catch. Legio didn't have the numbers yet to fight us so we gave En Garde some time to form up. Apparently they were very keen on sacrificing a fleet to us because they matched our numbers in DPS but didn't bring any logi to match our tripple Basi's.

As we were heading home Legio finally got the numbers to get a fleet out. What's that? Another easy sacrifice you say? We reshipped into AHACS just for the hell of it, made another 4 jumps and quickly cut them down, against without a loss.

We went home and just as people were going to bed, Cascade Associates sacrificed 2 Tengu's to the D87 Gods.

Monday morning guys were gate camping and fighting some new locals that moved in. We started forming up when scouts picked up an Initiative Merc. nano gang+machariels roaming around. We jumped into Tier3 BC's warped to the out gate they were going to and jumped through with them. We knew it would be a bloodbath but as soon as the first Machariel went down, it was clear that it was worth it. We ended up trading 4 Tier3's and a Dramiel for 2 Machariels and some other Hacs. We looted field for about 500 mil to pay for losses.

We headed back to Catch but only managed to get a few random ganks. We might have to welp a fleet there to get the locals to fight us again.

Apparently people actually read the forums because I have had quite a few inquiry's to joining recently. Momentum is still up!

Well last nights roam was rough. We had too many online and the fleet got more and more expensive until next thing I knew there were 3 machariels running around with us. We terrorized Legio/En Garde a bit until they called in -A-. We had bad intel on the size of the -A- blob and having never lived in Sov space myself, jump bridges are a bit of a mystery to me. We ended up losing a Machariel and a few support. No balls, no glory.

Feeling guilty as the FC I spent the next hour having people log, waiting for the blob to leave, then scouting us forward a jump before the blob could get us. When we were about home it looked like the blob FC had finally logged off. All the blobblings could do was dock up and pretend those 600 kills on which they only contributed to by pressing F1 make them "PvPers". There's a reason why I actually do value battle clinic ranking as an indicator of small gang experience.

Unfortunately for the blob pets, they were under the impression that could actually PvP without a cyno and 80 man support fleet behind them. We shipped a few guys into battle cruisers and snagged a Loki before their fleet could get away ending the night on a good note.

Clearly I am biased when it comes to discussing blobs. I don't mean to criticize that play style. I can understand the desire to log in and have a fleet up 24/7 and engage in 0 risk pvp where all you have to do is listen to the FC. I just happen to know that small-mid gang PvP is where the real competent and rewarding PvP lies.

A polish alliance "Cartel." has recently moved into our home system. This hasn't happened in over 6 months so we are ready to roll! They can field a few decent comps and outnumber us in their prime time by a bit so the fights have been entertaining.

Just last night they cyno'd onto their station with a typhoon. We formed up a hasty gank BS fleet with archon support (no we didn't agress on station spys). We overheated guns as much as possible and put him into structure but they undocked 3-4 carriers of their own and a few gank BS and were able to keep him up.

This morning they anchored a large POS. Stay tuned for some interesting fights that are bound to happen this weekend.

On Wednesday night we reinforced the Cartel. POS with a record turn out. It was set to come out at 1700... solidly in the Cartel. Time zone. Even though the EU TZ is a bit lighter for us, we were still able to turn out about 15.

They had anchored and onlined a second set of guns overnight. We noticed them warping ships directly from their station to the POS so we cloaked a HIC to catch what we could. We narrowly missed a Chimera and the trap was a bust. As the POS came closer to coming out of reinforce we noticed an obvious Initiative. alt in system. We put eyes on their titan and saw them forming up with about 60 in local. We messed around with Cartel. a bit more on station but the most they were willing to do is undock 12 abaddons+carriers on their station. It wasn't meant to be.

While Cartel. repaired their POS I took a quick frigate roam over to harass -A- pets. In about 20 minutes we scored 1.5 billion isk in kills including this tengu.

While roaming, one of the guys trying to catch up to us noticed some random large alliance moving 2 freighters through Catch with 2 basi's and a couple of battle cruisers for support. We forced them to dock with our frigate gang then left an alt to keep an eye on them while we sprinted back to Curse to reship. In record time we had formed into a small shield battle cruiser gang with two scimitars for support. Just as we made it back to Catch the convoy had undocked and warped to G-E gate. We piled in and overtook them in warp, landing just as they did. They jumped into G-E and started spamming local for help. We got tackle on one of the freighters and primaried one of their Basi's. Our reps were holding but soon the G-E locals started showing up for help. They got a bit more DPS on the field as well as a falcon that was making it hard to hold tackle. Before we could deal with those threats a carrier cyno'd on top of us and we had to d-agress and jump out.

Skip forward through a bunch of small gang type fights to Friday night and we had another decent gang fight. We split a darkspawn gang on a gate and started chewing through their fleet as they jumped in disorganized.

http://brushiebrushiebrushie.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=14494854

The link isn't showing our 3 hurricane losses but we were outnumbered 1 scimitar vs. 3 and Darkspawn was able to bring in battleships and ewar by the end of it. Overall it was a very fun fight and we are lucky we got away with what we did.

The past couple of weeks have seen us gain incredible momentum. We are maturing and becoming more professional as an organization. Currently we are looking for members who not only log in, but who seek to actively contribute to our strategic aims. Ultimately, we are about small-mid gang PvP. To improve, we have to strengthen our logistics, tighten our doctrines, and cultivate our PvPers.

Well last night yielded one of the more pleasurable fights of my Eve career. It may sound like just another 0,0 engagement but having watched my corporation mature from a high-sec can flipping corp to a 0,0 alliance it was satisfying on a deeper level.

We have consistently been able to run 15-20 man fleet on weeknights now. Two nights ago (Monday night) a roam was out in Detroid 18 jumps from home when I logged in. A few minutes go by and in our intel channel I see "Carriers tackled need help" and the destination linked. I led a convoy as quickly as possible to get more ships on the field but by the time we made it out there Cascade Imminent had dropped a total of 6 carriers and clearly had a titan bridging. We killed some of their support fleet and chased them around for a while but this set me thinking..

Tuesday night after work I formed a Tier3 fleet up and decided to take a risk and jump the 18 jumps to Detroid again looking for a fight. We were initially a bit disappointed, only managing to gank a few targets. Apparently we made a splash in some intel channels because a few minutes later we were hotdropped by Cascade again. This time they bridged a small battlecruiser gang behind us. The fight was over before it started but we only managed to net 4ish BC kills with no losses before they ran.

We messed around for another few mintues and started heading home a bit disappointed our 20ish man fleet couldn't find a fight. A few jumps later we notice a Cascade following us. It ends up being a Broadsword which we correctly assumed was a Cyno. After a bit of manuvering we jump into the system the Broadsword is on and start burning out. He popped the cyno and the fight is on!

About 15-20 battlecruisers with 3x scimitar and support comes through the Cyno. I start calling primaries and they are dropping fast to our alpha. We focus on the battlecruisers that are closest to us and for a period of time they had outrun their scimitar support. Our support was zipping around trying to chase their interceptors off of us but we lost a naga who got scrammed early on before he could pull much range. One of their Scimitars had the bright idea to MWD straight at us to get back in rep range of his fleet. We targeted him and cleared guns for a volley. He died so fast to alpha I thought he warped.

After 150Km's or chasing, the enemy fleet warped to a tactical over the gate we were at. Unfortunately for their Broadsword, his Cyno was still up leaving him stranded on the gate. We warped to the cyno at range and took him down. Right as he died the Cascade fleet warped back down to a wreck near us with some reinforcements. The chase began again and once more we lost a slow naga that got scrammed early. We downed a few more drakes and pointed an Onyx before they made the call to warp off.

19 kills for 5 losses (2 nagas, 3 support)

We scooped 300 mil in loot paying for most of our losses and headed home happy.

3 nights in a row of insanely fun small gang fights against the same enemy? Could it be? Only in Curse...

Brushie fly's 4 man gang concepts at the moment.

In small gangs of about 12 or under we do brawler shield BC's and Nano HACS. For gangs of 15-25 we do Tier3 damage projection battlecruisers and for the first time ever last night, dual prop-AHACS.

We had eyes on a small battleship fleet bubbling a station in Wicked Creek. Having never tried to form our newest fleet concept, I figured why the hell not? 25 minutes of wrestling with fittings and getting people in the correct ships I knew why not =(. We ended up forming a much stronger gang than I originally anticipated with 11 DPS and two guardians + support. The burn to Wicked Creek was quiet... too quiet.

Just as we landed on the destination gate, a Cascade scout jumped into us. Our fleet was a bit spread but I made the call to jump in and warp to the enemy fleet before they could get an accurate count on us. We landed on 5 Tempests, Megathron, Hurricane, Drake, Onyx, and a lot of tackle. As we landed they put a cyno up for the third day in a row and brought in a single triage Niddy.

A heated brawl started and we quickly downed their support and put a hurricane into deep structure before he caught triage reps. Through some quick target changing we managed to kill their Shield Megathron and finally finish off the hurricane. Unfortunately, we had two logi pilots, one of whom had never flown logi before and was now in a difficult to follow brawl. Our second logi pilot had the misfortune of DCing mid fight. By the time he got back in and the cap chain was re-established we had been without reps for over 50% of the fight. We lost 3 Deimos's and weren't able to put enough DPS pressure to work on the Niddy's cap. Their Onyx decided to bubble up so we cut him down to tie the isk war and extract.

The battle report on eve kill is too polluted to be useful. Overall it was a great brawl that lasted over 15 minutes. We learned a lot and next time will probably have to bring 3 guardians even if it does scare off some fights. I am expecting to see some capital kills on our board quite soon.

Anyone living in Curse and reading this, be sure to check out the contract Market in D87. We have stocked it with over 6 billion isk in ships in the last two days and they are selling faster than we can bring them in.
