Moon Mining: 2 batches, how to get them

There are moons in new eden that state to have 2 batches of moon goo x.
Having 1 batch allows you to anchor one harvester and collect that moon goo x with 100 units per hour. If you have different minerals on that moon you can anchore multiple harvesters and get that other stuff.

Having 2 batches of moon goo x shouldn't allow you to harvest it with 2 harvesters and therefore get 200 units per hour? If i try that the second harvester states that there is no mineral left for harvesting.
Is that just a bug or "works as intended"? If latter, whats the purpose of moons with 2 batches?

T2 moon harvesters are needed to get 200 units pr. hour, they are just not in-game yet... at least i think that's how it works.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

I think there was some thought of T2 harvesters back when T2 and Moon Mining was first introduced, but I guess then they realized that T2 POS mods would be silly, since there'd be no real reason not to use them unless they made the fitting requirements wackily huge.

if they release T2 moon harvesters after all this furore about Technetium i'll be hugely surprised

Moon mining isnt exactly a popular subject with 'the masses'

Well, to be perfectly honest, T2 moon harvesters would actually be better for the masses as long as new cartels aren't springing up. More moon goo/h means lower moon goo prices.

I still doubt they'll ever release T2 harvesters though, there's just no reason to. I wouldn't mind if they did a simple %s/2/1/g on the moon goo amounts table though, just no need for it.

a t2 harvester would be nice, and there would be reasons not to use them, as most locations do not have 2x of the same material in the moon. it would just be needed for those special ones.

and if they redistributed the moon goos, (not that depletion idea, just a re-not so randomization of goo locations) then it would be even nicer. as it would be harder to cartel materials. with some planning you could 2x the r2 moons more frequently and make them worth mining in more areas.

though id love to see a better balance of goo materials into ships then what is currently happening. the amounts of rare goo vs non rare goos seem out of balance.

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.
