Had the same thing with a Russian asking for 1v1 in local, expecting a trap I set my own one. In the end it was was three of them against 2 of us. We had a Drake and my Trusty HAM legion agaist 2 Tengu's and a Drake.

If you take from his can, you aggro his whole corp. Better have the other guy take from *your* can. Even then, have a remote repping alt ready in case his remote repping friends show up.

Almost every advertised 1 v 1 ends up in gankage or remote repping.

even with a falcon, another drake on field and dual logi Blood Union died in a fire to our lesser fleet

We logged 4 man fleet off at gate [the only way you'll get a fight from them btw] and had our 2 frigates tackle their drake as it came thru, then we waited trading point between tackles while regenning shield for nearly 30 minutes holding drake offgate until finally they form up a response fleet, when they came and their falcon warped in at 100kms we killed all we could bumping and grinding their logi off gate - the falcon, drake and scimi got away

Oh ya, they had a mixed fleet armor/shield with mixed logi.

Some advice, you need to find out where they do their isk bearing during wars, its some hi sec island (forgot the location now).

Sadly, 5 years ago.. you would have had no end of ppl backing you up, now eve is full of kunts that think, breaking 1vs1 is okay and that YOU are the one at fault for letting it happen to you.

To be fair, a lot of people break 1 v 1 engagements. I was challenged to one last night and the guy's alt was in the same system, how the hell do you trust people like that? I just ignored the challenge and went on my business. He tried to catch me at the next gate too Roll
