Meh... that's nothing. I spotted a Tristan Frigate in a Power Rangers show some years ago... Pic

I would like to add something, but everything that needed to be said has been.

Stock sounds free for everyone to use. Nothing special here. I'm sure you can find more if you listen.

Sorry no lawsuits or copyright infringements to be had.

Why do I have this sig? I don't smoke.

An episode of Dr. Who(the new series) used the same sound effects as the doors from DOOM, of course the producers did that on purpose considering the plot of the particular episode.

There are some sounds you'll hear in almost every movie. The same five or six squeaky doors, the Wilhelm scream, certain mechanical sounds...actually, between Doom and X-COM: UFO Defense you'll recognize about half the stock sounds they use.

In other words, you shouldn't be surprised that some things sound the same.

Thank you for confirming that I was not crazy hearing sounds of doors opening in doom from all those movies.

There is a perfectly good explanation sir. Big smile See, back then, my daughter had developed a tech-2 weapon. Documentation of said weapon can be found in the forum archived here.

I want to go outside for a cigarette. But the only exit is being camped. I'm on the living room system, scanning the porch gate. 1yo daughter from baby's corp is there, equipped with a Tech 2 Crying Mouth weapon. When this weapon is deployed it works similar to an ECM Burst but it does not affect computers. Instead, the T2 Crying Mouth emits an ultra high pitch sound that melts your brain from the inside-out.

I tested several different countermeasures to protect myself from the T2 Crying Mouth. Power Ranger shows had great success, causing calming effect on the T2 Crying Mouth baby pilot. So I used it a lot.

What surprises me is to find this many ppl actually listen to the sounds of eve! Audible alerts - nothing else I've heard adds to my gaming experience - sorry sound Devs! And oddly enough, though obviously labored over, the description of the sounds provided by the OP and others, has not piqued my inerest in turning on anything other than what it takes to get the audible alerts.

The sound used when you biomass a (male?) toon is a very common sound file for males dying, usually from fire.

Who cares? Western voice actors are stupid expensive because they think they're just as important as actors.

Who really cares if some games/movies & whatever else use the very same sounds as long as it is entertaining.Shocked Hell I would go as far as to say that in EVE there are a lot of people who don't even have the sounds turned on so whats it really matter? Blink

No we haven't.

Also most of EVE's sound files probably out date Minecraft don't they? I'm under the impression EVE is a lot older.
