Switch from full screen to fixed window and see if that helps.

Recognise a joke and be more thick skinned man or ur not for long around here :P What she means is "your card appears to be a little underpowered, and likely not from a supported manufacturer. therefor i suggest you upgrade".

It's not really that easy, if you have a notebook...

but yes, the onboard gfx is the problem

My laptop does that, its usually the on board intel card, try pressing ctrl alt del, when it loads the menu page that forces the drivers to refresh the screen and usually clears it up. Or at least it does for me, Also do you get the black screen refresh when jumpping between systems? thats annoying put the price you pay for having a non-gaming laptop

Step away from the keyboard before you type something else stupid.

Unfortunately Mobile GPUS' like the one your using are remarkably weak.

If you leave the game quit out and come back in is it normal?

If so start the game in windowed mode if you have the option, and never do the minimize thing again otherwise I fear your going to get crazy pink screen every time you do that.

PS Sufferin wasn't trying to get your goat just trying to illustrate the weakness of your gpu.

Yes I feel your pain its harder to upgrade mobile GPU's on lap tops.

Its why I stopped gaming on one.

Hope this helps.

Usually onboard GPUs are crap.
Usually onboard GPUs on a laptop are even worse.

So suggestion:

If possible, move to a desktop with proper GPU.

A colour shift on tabbing-out could be from a lack of video memory.

Some BIOSes have a setting for that. Some don't.

Yeah, onboard graphics are going to run into video memory issues for graphically-intensive games, which is either going to manifest as hijacked RAM (slowing your computer) or weird graphical anomalies.

Were I you, I'd try turning all of the graphics settings to minimum first -- no shadows, no fog effects, low-resolution ship skins, and so on. If that doesn't work, I'm afraid I'm with the rest of the thread, you're going to have to upgrade, which can be a bit of a pain with a laptop.
