Whats your experience with the new drone region changes? Good isk? Junk? Meh?

I'm thinking about joining a corp in the drone regions but I'm currently in with the Angels. The new home system will be a -1 which is better than what I'm in now.

I'm looking for more pvp of course but also need a place to grind the isk to get the ships.

How's the new drone region bounties been treating you? What do they drop for loot now? Any faction stuff dropping yet?

Or should it be more like, 'what the hell are you thinking stay with the angel cartel!'?

Bounty's compared to other factions are bad. And they have all most no drop too, only things i got from them was advance AI chop and some alloys, but best part those ships dont have any bounty's on them isnt that great. Ded or wortless too , same say they can drop faction loot but never got any myself.

Drone loot is bad. I've gotten a whopping 2 Shadow Serpentis mods, and nothing else from rated complexes. Any factions equivalent complex drops upwards of bajillions in loot.

The drop rate just seems horrific. On the plus side, they do salvage decently.

drone regions will get slightly more interesting when salvage drones are implemented. right now, you should not go there unless you are a miner or PvPer.

I should buy an Ishtar.

meh - lame.

i went on test server for a bit and popped some rats, no loot.

seems like drone regions would be a good area to go roaming in to find those poor souls that are stuck there.

i'd rather be in high sec from what i'm reading. Sad

Its ok. Compared to Angel ratting you have to be a bit more awake. Seems that drones hit harder or because i need to work on my tank a bit more :P Wouldnt mind a drone anomaly that is the equivalent to a forsaken hub. Cruisers and up no scraming frigs.:) But still its fun to do in groups on an non pvp night.

Drone Hordes are worth 27-30m each and can be run in 17-20mins in a carrier or pair of BS. It's perfectly possible to get 20m ticks and above. There's no loot whatsoever.
Faction ("Sentient") drones spawn randomly at the anomalies (someone mentioned about 5% spawn rate) and can be looted & salvaged for T2 stuff. They also spawn in belts with bounties up to 15m.
The 10/10 escalation you occasionally get from a Horde is pretty pointless. It can't be run solo, has a silly skillbook restriction on one of the gates, and takes a long time to complete.
A number of Drone Regions corps also use the failry common wormhole entries into C3/4/5 systems and run sites for T3 production or just for mnr's to sell in empire.

Plasma physics skill is no longer required for the surging gate. It now requires the same hacking key that's used in worlds collide. Also, the drone 10/10s usually pay out about a bil isk in t2 salvage. As far as not being solable, main reason is due to the DPS required to break the mothers tank in the last room. Other than that, everything else can be killed in all 6 rooms in a solo tengu.

OP was referring to the actual drone regions, not the drone plexes you find in non drone region space. All you will find in drone regions are hiearchys, radience, etc.
