How about a warning system when you plot an autopilot route, that tells you that you may get shot at in a given system on your route? I'm sure the technology of the future could handle something like that Cool

How about:

This is Eve, you may get shot in ANY system, Autopilot or not.
There, consider yourself warned.



But seriously, there is an 'avoid low security systems' option in the Autopilot.
And you can look at your route on the map and set the map to show 'ships destroyed in the last hour' or something. You know, make a little effort on your part.....

Maybe he means getting shot at by angry NPCs, due to security status or standing
