I am afraid its the boring way you have to take by doing storyline. Sad

You can run the epic arc. It only checks initial standing and there are three ways in. If you have access to Minmatar or Amarr L3s you can start it and get the standings gains from it.

well no. that's the catch. you need a minimum of -2 in faction standing or you can't do it....

or wait. Is it I need to have -2 to the faction of my agent? if so can you use the Sisters of eve epic to gain Amarr standing?

-2 to the initial faction/agent/corp, but epic arcs only check at the initial agent. That means you can get in to Angel Sound via Minmatar or Amarr standings instead. And yes, that means you can use the SoE arc to gain standings with a faction even if you're KoS for them when you start.

How do I pick the faction I want to gain standing with the sister of eve epic? is it dependent on the starter agent or something I select later?

You don't choose until accepting the penultimate mission. At that point you choose which of the major factions to work for and gain standings with.

Just wanted to add that to access the level 3 Pirate Epic Arcs, the Corporation standing of the starting agent needs to be above +3.00 and the Faction needs to be above -2.00 standing. The Arcs are set up to be done in 0.0 null sec space with fast small ships like Assault Frigates or Interceptors.

The Pirate arc will give a very large Faction standing increase, at least 30% gain. Theres a section about fixing Pirate standings in the 'Faction Standing Repair Plan'.

There's also Support Packages available consisting of various bookmarks and detailed manual.

I used to be verging on the edge of -10.0 with angel cartel

For the last 18 months I been doing the angel cartel epic arc.

you get a 30% plus any social skilsl faction increase when you complete the arc.

1st time you complete the arc you should rise below -3.0 with ease and if you got all social skills at four mfor missions you will be able to run lvl 1 agents with ease. and then the climb back to good standings should be only a mere couple weeks away assumming you are doing missiosn for them.
where is my ability to link a sig properly CCP you munters!!

for the record i do the epic arc in a puridier, and t he last mission in a amarr destroyer. as the concord agent speed tanks your damage.

Might seem slike a radical solution but using an alt to accept missions while using your main toon in a fleet to complete them has worked wonders for me in repairing my standing woes. you might need to spend a day or four dualboxing to get the new toons standings good enough to get the lvl 3 or lvl4 agents but then it gets easier. the epic arcs dont split standings except for the last mission. the standings for the last part of the epic arc are split if you hit share reward. I managed a 5% boost for completeing each one. With the three alts I was able to make from an extra account I was able to take standings from -9 ammar and caldari back to postive standings for both in under two weeks. Positive bieng 0.05 not much above but way better than when I started and also able to pull the epic arc missions from all the faction made this plan pay off in the end.

This idea has certain merit with the power of two deal going on right now.

Things that keep me up at night;  Why do we use a voice communication device to send telegraphs? Moore's Law should state, Once you have paid off the last PC upgrade you will need another.

Pirate epic arcs are a good way to get you pirate faction / corp standings out of the red so you can run ‘normal’ pirate missions. Otherwise your stuck with boosting your standings the normal way … normal missions, storylines, and cosmos.

Pirate epic arcs do not care what your standings are with the pirate corp / alliance in question … mostly. The only time that standing matters is if you try to start the arc via the pirate starter agent. Each pirate arc has two other starter agents, and your pirate standings do not matter to them.
If you have the standings to obtain lvl3 missions with those agents then you can start the arc … and your standings do not get checked again during the arc. I think most of that basic pirate arc starter info can be found in my advertising post - https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=12973&find=unread

When I first ran Angel Sound I was -10 with Angels, but I accessed the arc via the Minmatar RSS agent. After a few runnings I was better than +5 with Angels faction … altho that has since dropped a little … and running lvl4s with various Angel corps in Curse. My practice has been to run several alts thru the arc at the one time, but using just one DPS ship.

Ship-wise my experience leaves me believing that assault frigates are the best ship choice for the pirate arcs … providing you have a scout available. Of the assault frigs I have used the wolf had been the fastest-to-complete. There are lots of other ships that can complete the pirate arcs, including plain old vanilla T1 frigates (e.g. autocannon rifter).

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.
