"Allied" plex rats shooting me

So I was recently trying to kill a Minmatar plexing alt in Caldari space and got effed up by the rats inside the plex. Is it a standings issue? My Caldari standings are 0.30 after Diplo and -1.37 unmodified. I figured since I was in Amarr which is a "sister" faction to Caldari they wouldn't shoot you. I've tried asking people, but noone really had an answer.

yes, you have to have caldari state 5.0+ if you are in amarr militia and want to avoid caldari npc in every plex.

If minmatar militia pilot who have caldari state 5.0+ captures caldari plexes rats do not shoot him at all.

So if you have less than 5.0 and minmatar had more than 5.0 rats shoot you who are defending and help the guy who is attacking.

But if you ask CCP they just say working as intended.

There is also a way to turn caldari NPC's to shoot members of Caldari militia. Qcat pilots like Chatgris like to do this all the time, along with all the matari alts in caldari space

Doesn't sound like a grudge .. not enough capitalising .. sounds more like a reported bug being wilfully ignored by the powers that be .. seen it, felt it, accidentally done it (ie. been there).

Yes. They need to change the way plex rats respond to standings. That's simply all there is to it - and it's not like the change would be a DRASTIC one.

Plex rats should ignore friendly militia and automatically attack hostile militia - period.

I say this as someone who has high Caldari standings and farm Caldari plexes with ease - no need for any special tank or anything. The rats simply don't shoot me. Despite the billions of ISK I've made, I stand here now to say that this game mechanic is broken and too easily taken advantage of.

EDIT: This won't stop me from taking advantage of it in the meantime, however. Twisted

Apparently the rats treat their own militia as friendly but don't discriminate between allies or neutrals, and to some degree enemies. Only standings towards their faction matters.

i am all for it that militia NPCs should simply shoot everything which is not friendly to them. No reason why neutrals are ignored IMO.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

I dont know. Longest one i've kept (and still keep) has been for 27 years so the jury is still out on that.

Nennamaila Incident will never be forgotten or forgiven, at least while anyone involved is still part of FW.

All NPCs. You simply burn out to 200+ km and then the NPCs target somebody else closer - friend or foe. Using this tactic is frowned upon, but sometimes it cannot be helped especially in a kiting engagement where one side is burning away.

The funny part is - i wasn't even present at said incident when ammon found out if you burned 200+ away the rats switched, and yet I am still referenced for it ;)

I can't speak for Val Erian (and don't watch militia chat outside of T5 upgrade times) but well go with

a) I've never used it intentionally and I think maybe twice I've burned out of 200km+ range, sometimes it can't be avoided
b) lol telling how to do it in militia chat? really? I think the only times I've ever explained what it was was in reference to someone saying "wtf is damar raging about this time".

Anyways, feel free to continue fabricating stuff about me - seems to be a primary pasttime of yours. The list of things you've accused me of over the years is quite hilarious :)

Yuri seems to do this a lot.

Last week I encountered him in Local, and he accused me of being a QCat alt and sending death threats to people.

Yuri is not the most stable bear, methinks.
