Out of Pod Experience

So, I recently picked up BF3 and the CBQ map pack etc. I know it's been out for a while and I'm late to the game, but I like to start playing once it's been mostly patched up and things are working smoothly. Plus, one of the main reasons was the CQB pack: a more traditional FPS experience vs. lots of vehicle combat.

So, that being said, do you play, what do you think of the game overall, what weapons do you prefer, what maps do you prefer, what play styles do yo like?

Origin is bleh.

Also- I'm thinking about getting Planetside 2, and I'm definitely getting Arma 3. Arma 3 will be amazing.

Playing BF3 and loving it. I like all weapons and all vehicles... some are more difficult to master than others. I like big open maps. The Operation Metro map sucks IMHO... always stuck at "B".

Liking it a great deal right now, not sure how long that will last.

Metro I've not found a passion for, but do like the VoiP interaction on it.

Wake Island is great, as always; and I have a fondness for flying low in the heli and letting the gun guys get lots of kills on point A and D by keeping my transversal low so they can aim easily.

I like the gun master/conquest servers a lot, where it switches between all of the levels and alternates the game type, and I cant remember the name of the map, but it has a lot of offices with wide open spaces and board rooms to destroy, with lots of glass flying around.

Liking playing recon a lot on the CQ/premium maps, by dropping a recon becon and getting tons of 'spot' points when I place between two points like A and B, you end up cutting the rush traffic in two this way, helped by having a good engineer feeding me ammo.

I do find that people can run away a little too easily overall, and that the hit boxes seem to be out - although I guess this helps me also, as there have been kills I got that I really think I shouldn't have gotten, so I broadcast a 'sorry, lucky shot' to whomever just got died from me.

Not liking ground vehicles too much, and it does seem they bounce around waaaay too much for my liking - but hand braking a buggy onto a point with C4, then running away whilst the enemy spawn, take the vehicle, and then boom, is a delight.

Yet to take out a jet whilst parachuting from a great height using a rocket launcher...maybe one day.
