Just how far would you be willing to go to get your hands on a tasty treat? In an entertaining test of reward conditioning, Fantastic Snacks, an Australian snack company, plopped a vending machine full of their Delites snacks down in the middle of a shopping mall. They're free, but come with a strange test that might make them not worth it after all!

Okay that was pretty good.

The geek in me wants to know how the machine knew what people where doing when it moved beyond just pushing the button. As in did the software know or did they have someone monitoring that video feed.

EVE is like swimming on a beach in shark infested waters,  There is however a catch...  The EVE Beach you also have to wonder which fellow swimmer will try and eat you before the sharks.

It's demeaning damnit!

Sure I love watching fat people do things, hilarious to watch (I've seen every season of The Biggest Loser) but not fat people need to show some dignity!

I see a public machine telling me to press a button 5000 times to get some cookies, I walk right past.
You give me a virtual button to press 5000 times at home that does something even less meaningful, and I'd probably press it (or better yet, find a way to have it press itself).
What does that say about me ? Not much good, I assume :P

there was someone inside watch the first few seconds of video, a lady stood inside and had a computer there to tell them what to do.

The video has the answer, there was a video camera plus a filming crew outside, and so human supervision is very very likely.
