Add electronic interference!

Too many ships in a small space, causes electronic systems to loose performance!

It's not an issue of them being unable to do it. It's an issue of not wanting to do it. There is nothing inherently better in small scale combat. Some people definitely prefer it, but other like the big fights. Those big fights also differentiate EVE from almost all other MMOs. In my view perpetuum will always remain an inferior product because of the limitations they've chosen. Large scale fights are not a problem looking for a solution and certainly not a solution, that makes them unplayable/impossible in some idiotic attempt to chase some specific type of "perfect" combat. It's always better to just offer options for players. That way if you like small scale combat, you can do activities that offer a lot of it. In the same way you leave the large scale battles for those who prefer them.

I think the main counter to blobing is the target breaker. IT's already on TQ. Now we need projected target breakers.

blob, done

also when you die you should deal AOE damage around yourself.

I know what you mean, but breaking large groups in multiple smaller groups is probably tactically more interesting, even in big fights. EVE has much more flexibility in moving from place A to B then perpetuate has, just by means of warping.

And current introduced of features to promote breaking up blobs are:

* Stealth bombers / bombs
* Remote ECM Burst (super carriers only)
* Target lock breaker (sort of, not really breaks up blobs)

So while your opinion counts as much as mine, CCP really is looking into stopping the evolution from large blob to even larger blob...but so far not with too much success. Stealth bombers have been the most successful so far on a limited scale however.

Target lock breakers are not what you seem to think.
They are very distinct from ECM, let alone the remote ECCM burst module only super carriers can fit.

Splash damage would be sort of nice, as long as its not overdone to the point you get suicide frigs blown up by their own team to be detonated as a sort of directed bomb.
