I have the same issue and have filed a petition and bug reports and heard nothing in reply to regards of a patch fix. I am sure the issue is with the eve launcher or the patch that come out around that time. I have replaced all my hardware and software and I still get freezes and massive crashes. Driver issues or CCP failing with patches I really have no idea..?

edit: it was not the Radeon cards =S

I have been having this problem for about 1 years. Only when i run 2 klients i windowed mode, it frezes.
Now i always use one prosessor for each klient, and it almost never frezes anymore.

There seems to be quite a few topics on EVE client freezing so I'll just post the boggle here.

'Socket Closed' errors began maybe two weeks ago added with the fact that every time when this occurred my ADSL modem also dropped the DSL connection.

About a week ago there was such a change to this behaviour that at the moment I don't receive the 'Socket Closed' notification from the client but instead the client just drops dead, meaning the UI suddenly just becomes unresponsive, everything just stops and after a while my ADSL modem drops the connection as before.

And yes, the quit button seems to need a permission from the server too because it wont work either, you know, the quit...button... >.>

And yes, this only happens with EVE client.

And yes I use EVE client in the windowed mode (windowed and in fixed window)

Also having this problem, on the following setup:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (SP1)
Motherboard: ASUS M4N98TD EVO, Socket-AM3
RAM: Crucial DDR3 1333MHz 4GB, CL9 - 4 pieces, for a total of 16 GB
Graphics Card: ASUS GeForce GTX 550Ti 1GB PhysX CUDA
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 - 3.4 GHz, 8MB cache
HDD: Samsung SpinPoint 1TB, 32 MB cache, 7200 RPM SATA

Running EVE on maximum graphics settings, the crashes are completely random, but usually once per day, maybe twice.
When they happen, everything freezes (Spotify keeps playing) for about 20 seconds, then the monitor disconnects due to loss of signal, and the computer goes into bluescreen-freeze, with the insane frozen music sound that follows, and I have to manually reboot.

EVE is the only program this happens with, and it is extremely annoying, as I have just started getting into it D:

Hi,

had the same Issue. I switched my Turboboost of the I7 off. In Bios, something like Speedstep Technology... after then no freeze... It costs overall performance but it helped.. or it was Luck until now.
