Old corp I used to be in would do 20 hour mining ops with people joining / leaving though the day. There were some days we would burn though all the bels in the system (system had 29 belts), and this would be mining all minerals. No idea what the average was but it was always at least 2 Orcas, and I would guess 20 at peak hours, 10 at low peak hours.

Thats the basis for this question.

Two boosted Hulks can strip an entire belt in a couple of hours, assuming the hauling is done by another character. This would be on the first day only. On the second day the stripped belts will re-spawn, but the asteroids won't be "full", so ideally you want to switch systems and let them grow back again over a period of days. For 30 miners it would be very difficult indeed to keep things efficient. You'd probably need a constellation of safe systems.

Depends on the size of the belt and whether it has been mined recently. If it was a reasonable but not large size belt you are not going to strip it in two hours with two Hulks. Not possible.

I currently mine 2 belts a day with 2 Hulks if I mine serious.

I can't see having more than 10 Hulk's in an op in a single system. You would wipe out the belts too fast, and be spending more time warping / setting up than you would be mining.

Me too!

I ran a few mining ops last year, and we'd do 4 Hulks per belt, one Hulk on veldspar, one on scordite, one on plagioclase, one on pyroxeres. That way, the problem of two ships sucking on the same asteroid is minimized. I think the biggest op involved somewhere between 8 and 11 mining ships.

A mining op with 30 ships sounds crazy. I don't think it'd be very efficient.

There really isn't an accurate answer to this question. Belts vary a lot in size even in the same sec status systems. You can find 0.5 systems with massive belts that would take 5x longer to mine than a smaller belt in the neighboring 0.5 system or 10x longer than the average belt in a 0.8 system.
Even in null you can get belts that would take 3-5 miners a few hours to clear and belts that are 10x that size. Than if you add gav sites in upgraded sov space you can keep 30+ miners busy for days clearing a single belt.

It all depends on where you are and how many of what size belts you have available. There is just such a large variance I can not even give you a ballpark answer without more information.
