I was considering getting into manufacturing, and was looking at scorch bombs. Thats where i ran into a problem.

A new bpo had (as an example) a material cost which included 11084 (me) isogen. Looking in contracts I found one that has a waste of .1%. It had a material cost which included 11058 (me) isogen. All the other materials were simular.

So whats the advantage of spending so much money on a bpc that has the same (vertually) material cost?

Bombs have "Extra" materials, not affected by waste or ME and unrecoverable by reprocessing.

That lets them be small enough to fit in Bombers, expensive enough for CCP's happiness, and not be useful as a compression item.

Should be handy with seeing where the ideal point is with Blueprint research.

Thanks for the replies. I guess there isnt any reason to waste time researching this bpo. That will save a little money there.

Im sure some items do have an advantage to being researched, but this isnt one of them.

Thanks for all the help.
