Broken Grids

CCP, why have you never addressed this issue?

It's only been a problem for years, and yet it seems you can't be bothered to do anything about it.
Alliances anchor a multitude of bubbles or cans, or simply warp in a few hundred people and suddenly you have spots that are offgrid at a short distance. You can be 5k away from another pilot, and not be able to see or lock them.
I've also recently noticed some grids in lowsec that seem permanently broken. where you have to be within 50k of the gate to see ships, yet you can see the gate from well beyond that.
Any plans for this? Or is this just another "Feature" that you can't be bothered with? Oops

Think its a feature and therefore CCP are not going too look into it.
It's also a game mechanics and as such it can be manipulated.

Read this threat for more info.
Need grids explained to me pls

Also read this guide from GF. that a post in the above threat is linking to.
Grid-fu: A Practical Manual

It will explane all of the "bugs" your describing. It's just advanced metagaming.

That's not a bug.

Battles can get decided by ones knowledge of grid-fu.
It'ss part of the game and actually really interesting, once you dig into it.

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

Where can one read up on exactly how grids work? Is it randomly generated or is there a basic formula??

If they could, I'm sure CCP would make it all one grid so this did not happen.

As it is now, it is impossible to prevent, and CCP does not consider it an exploit.

Was funny the first time it happened to me. Lost its hilarity after a few seconds though.

I too didn't bother to read the second post in this thread.

You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world.
