Cheating in ATX is bad. Lying about it is worse. Attempting to cover it up is atrocious.

How in the world could you have been in rk for 6 months, and still have the nerve to try to sabotage their efforts? surely you formed some friends in that time, and it's over very trivial reasoning too, it is against the eula to acc share, but I honestly doubt CCP cares at all under the current circumstance, otherwise some action would have been taken already. RK have given great matches, every one has enjoyed them, that's what the CCP tourney team mainly cares about, I will be extremely surprised if anything comes from this, and that's saying something given how biased I am due to recentish events

Apparently you didn't read the whole post where I explained that part.

Fair point.

Actually, as I already posted. The rules, do in fact, say "PILOT."

This is pretty boring as far as drama goes.

Yeah. I didn't post it to be drama central. I posted it to rebut some lies being posted.

+1 Claire, but it's pointless

Cheating is allowed in the ATX. CCP doesn't care unless you get egg on their face.

Python injecting. Collusion. Account sharing. Sure, the logs show nothing, but we all know. It's only confirmed when ppl like Monkey post logs of their hacking (for PL), we see replays of Hydra/Outbreaks final or we hear about this (which I'm sure is a VERY rampant problem. should just be Standard Operating Procedure to do an IP check on anyone competing and check for inconsistancies)

But it's a pipe dream. EVE is full of liars, cheats and thieves. CCP wants that. They advertise it and wonder why the game has people willing to break the rules CCP establishes to get ahead.

CCP will just ignore it. They wont recognize it. They will sweep it under the rug unless the outcry is overwhelming (ala T20, greed is good etc). It is really sad that CCP wont just enforce their rules and impose strict penalties to all who benefit.

This means probably closing eVoke for their moon-goo scam (banning 2-3 people is lol worthy. That's no penalty when huge alliances were built from broken pos') Probably snagging a lot of assets from old BoB members. Removing trophies, ships and the isk profit from PL. Removing trophies, ships and the isk profits from hydra/outbreak. Perm-banning anyone who accountshares etc.

Make it so painful for anyone who even knows a cheater that players start enforcing themselves. As it stands the risks are minor and the gains astronomical. Not like banning a few bitter vets or taking 10tril out of the economy is going to hurt your average player. More likely people will believe the rules matter, the deck isn't stacked and that they too should play EVE.

Thanks for the +1.

This isn't really about anything except setting the record straight. People (including CCP) can either check it out and believe me or not.

It's just funny when people like Namamai try to smear a good name by posting half truths and outright lies, in an attempt to make me look bad.

The funniest one is about me demanding the flagship back.

Of course what Nam refused to write is that Apathetic Brent asked me to specifically fund the flagship. I told him sure, on two conditions. 1. He didn't lose it in some drunken solo roam. and 2. I get it back, if it lives through ATX, so I could auction it off for CCP's charity. Everyone thought that was a good idea ... Nam doesn't mention that part either, just that I "demanded" it back.

So ... anyway ... Rote Kapelle cheated a little, they lied a little, they smeared a little. No skin off my back. I just want the truth out there to set the record straight.

In b4 we find out that Hydra/0utbreak managed to still compete in the alliance tournament by using shared RVB accounts.

Could you edit your post to get all of the tired, boring clichés out at once, so nobody has to use them again. Please add "umad?" and "Claire tears best tears" and even tho she isn't leaving the game you might as well add "can i have ur stuff?"

Granted:

To the members of Rote Kapelle;

Last night I dropped roles and will be leaving Stimulus/Rote Kapelle in approximately 12 hours.  A fundamental difference in opinion has led to this and I want all of you to know that I did not arrive at this decision lightly.

It's probably been very apparent to all that I've been more than a little agitated over this last week.  I apologize for that, but I really am bothered by the events as they unfolded, vis-a-vis the ATX Tournament and our team's conduct.

I consider what happened in both the RK-RvB match and the RK-PL match (account sharing -- Brent-Bacc, and Booley-Dradius) to be cheating.  Especially so in the PL match in order to get Dradius around the 'time-in-alliance' restriction that CCP has set forth in the ATX rules.  Not only is it against the EULA/ToS, but it was against both the letter and the spirit of the ATX rules.

Brent and Booley were warned after I found out that Bacc shared Brent's account during the RvB match not to break the rules in this manner again.  Unfortunately they decided to ignore that warning and do it again in the PL match.

To be honest, I'm not as disappointed in Brent (who wants to win at all costs,) Booley (who doesn't give a d**n about anyone but Booley,) and Dradius (who, while having been a huge help in practice, just wants to fly in the tournament,) as I am with Ripard.  After reading the majority of his blog I had come to think of him as a principled and ethical person.  If anyone on the tournament team should have put his foot down and stopped this it should have been him.  Apparently I was mistaken in my impression of Ripard.

Some of you may or may not agree with my stance or reasoning on the issues.  That's fine, we're all entitled to our own opinions.  I just wanted all of you to understand that this isn't some false sense of epeen-pixel-honor.  Rather it's a part of who I am in real life … I don't cheat, and I won't associate with people that participate in, or condone cheating.  It's just who I am … how I was brought up.

I'm down to three clones and three ships in TXW, so don't worry about trying to bubble my carrier or freighter in.  Everything else was dumped into Brent's hangar so I wouldn't have to haul it all back out.  He should have plenty of ships to lose on his live-streaming, beer-fueled, solo roams.

Finally, at the posting of this thread someone in control of the forum can go ahead and revoke my access, as I won't be looking back over my shoulder to read the comments.  I've made my decision and I'm good with it.

I appreciate a good rumor thread and all that, but this one is fairly condemning. If you have a major issue like this in the future, it is far better to send in a petition instead of making a thread about it. I'm locking this thread based on Rumors and speculation, and how we don't appreciate things like that.

Thank you.
