You should go fight someone who can shoot back. Shooting a mining vessel, even when tanked is hardly a challenge. At most you have 5 drones to play with while waiting to be concorded.

Not a challenge and barely profitable if at all. Just bullying for bullying sake. Trash of the gaming world: gankers.

Made several billion ganking miners earlier this year.

If that is the case, then it is an issue. But I doubt you made that much. Unless the fools were putting deadspace fittings on hulks and still no tank...

Also where would the minerals come from? Drones no longer drop their normal poo and low meta items being refined are hardly enough to support the EVE economy.

Mining in peace does us no more harm than someone sitting afk in a station.

In fact semi afk mining benefits us by adding more minerals to the market. We need MORE people mining and/or a higher yield ship than the hulk if we ever wanna see T1 ship prices drop.

And maybe nerf bounties again. We need people to derive value from the markets, not from a preset number.
So better yet, instead of a straight nerf to bounties how about making them variable and changing their value based on the market.

Make it so that fewer people can output more minerals cause only so many people are going to do mining. If only 15% of the player base mines regularly then that 15% needs to have the tools to provide enough minerals for the other 85% of us to use.

If no drastic changes are made to mining that we can assume that we're going to sit on the same average ratio of miners to non-miners and thus an economic equilibrium can be found provided the miners get the right tools.

You should go mine something that can mine back. Mining a rock, even when it's ice, is hardly a challenge. At most you have 5 gankers to play with while waiting to jettison your can.

I don't mine, but I do have more respect for miners than gankers and trolls.

We simply killed hundreds of them. It was stupidly easy as not a single one out of the 600+ we killed had a tank.

And I don't gank but all the crying is getting out of hand. True story.

Who cares? I mean. Do we really need that stuff? I've never built anything but do we really need more production and more industrialization and more exploitation of the universe nowadays? Can't we pause for a second and take a deep breathe?

Eve too complicated? Try Astrum Regatta.

I haven't seen a gank whine thread on the forums for quite a while now.

And then the OP posted this clownish nonsense.

It's not an issue with the gankers if miners fit their ships with expensive crap. It's an issue with the miners. I've ganked Hulks that drop 100 mil+ and I don't even have an alt to scoop it. I just did it to deprive someone of something, same as pirates have deprived me of stuff while I was peacefully PvEing in wherever, or conversely how I've deprived PvEers via piracy of my own. This is a globally PvP-flagged game.

Also what is this buff to mining ships that was referenced. I've come out of months of inactivity in-game and haven't been following many patch notes.

Through re-introducing drone poo, and modification to the salvaging system, it would be possible to remove mining from the game completely.
Ships destroyed in PvP could be salvaged for materials equal or greater to that which is required to build the destroyed ship, thus keeping the flow of minerals positive over the number of ships destroyed.

No more need for mining at all. Exhumers and barges and the mining lasers could be relegated to collectibles or just removed from the database completely, purging Eve from what is clearly viewed as a serious game mechanic flaw.

Been fighting in 0.0 since the days of TRI and ASCN. All of those dead miners funded several now leagondary megathrons. I gain from your suffering.

You do know that there are quite a few people who actually, you know, enjoy mining?

Many of these people have multiple accounts.

I don't think CCP is willing to sacrifice the profits from these people to fulfill your PvP arena EVE vision.

9 years of blowing them up hasn't made them quit so I doubt they will be quiting now.

Query: What extra rules should we require miners to follow?

Answer: None that no other players should not have to follow as well.

In other words, why are you trying to build more walls in the 'sandbox'? This little roleplay of you and yours is certainly enjoyable, almost a guilty pleasure on par with most daytime soap operas, but proposing more rules goes against the spirit of the game, player imposed or not.

They should only able to mine, if the pay to James 315, which will give the most money to his Shareholders. No more IPO rounds and we all will make profit,
