CCP, time to retire/move the "Avatar above me" threads.

If low-functioning individuals want to play internet grab-ass, thats fine.
Just don't fill the front page of General Discussion with it.

Some of us find political discussion 'fun' - but because its against the rules the threads get locked.
Likewise, these threads violate the rules, and should be locked or at least moved.

It mystifies me as to why those threads have been allowed to stay here as long as they have.

While I hate to dump it on the OOPE (and a fine place it is),
....some of us use GD to quickly get an outline of what the current in-game issues and events are.

Threads like that are an impediment and should be moved elsewhere, if not locked outright.

The handful of people who want to keep necroing and re-necroing it are welcome to do so.
I'd just prefer it not be on the most highly trafficked forum page.

dont think it really kills genral, id much prefer that ccp banned every player that buts ccp in there thread tital for a month.

I agree with this. They are useless threads that just serve as spam. Lock them up and throw away the keys, then solder the locks shut so nothing can pick it and encase them in cement and drop them off in the ocean.

OOPE doesn't want this ****, and it's something that should have been handled when they first cropped up.

After thinking about it for awhile, I think you're right. We should definitely find a way to keep more whine/nerf/lock/quit/QQ threads front and center on general discussion. And we know for certain that these different kinds of threads can't coexist on the same page. That would be blasphemy!!

Wonderful content you have here. Is this thread even in the right section...?

They tried to send some of these threads to OOPE once. It was one of the few times that we got them to send it back and I tell you right now I'll fight it again. OOPE is not the dumping grounds for all the other forums.
