A lot of good combos being listed here. Honestly , 2 BCs with ewar drones is probably the most effective duo you can run. Low risk, plenty of firepower/ tank. If you're looking for something more expensive, avoid hacs and try fast point HiC with a command ship like a sleipnir. That's always a fun pair from experience.

2 Afs when each will carry enough ewar (tds or damps) .... or one BB and one cruiser/BC .... two nanodrakes (but u need link alt) .... two kiting taloses are fun too.

Destroyers, particularly the thrasher are loads of fun and far more effective at getting fights then the bigger ships. Also less chance blobbers notice you and go after you with numbers you can not handle. You can also use FW complexes to limit your opponents ship sizes. Minor plexes only allow destroyers and below. Camp one in a populated FW system like Nen and you will get a fight.

Pilgrim/Stealth Bomber combo would be an interesting setup. Pilgrim to grab and hold target apply ecm drones or dps drones and the SB for dps.
