Fueled Moon Disruptors

A fueled moon disruptor would be an anchorable module which can be deployed in hostile enemy space at any location in low or nullsec space. It would have a reasonable amount of EHP, perhaps 5 to 10 million EHP.

When active, this module would disrupt moon mining activities within several lightyears of its anchor point; reducing the amount of material they produce to 50% of normal.

In order to operate this they would require fuelling with some form of isotope or some other element, perhaps liquid ozone or strontium. If the module is not fuelled then it ceases to effect any nearby POS towers. The fuel bay would only be large enough to accommodate 36 hours worth before depleting, requiring them to be maintainable.

They should have an RF timer limited to a maximum of 24 hours and cost upwards of 50 to 100m to produce. They would not disrupt moons during this time.

Only one module may be onlined and fuelled at a time within its area of effect to stop spamming an entire area with them.

I like the idea (but it shouldn't have reinforcement timer) and should be much easier to destroy... with the suggested HP, it would be fine as long as it doesn't have any resistance...

as a deployable, it will be nice to force fights from "moon holders"

Certainly no RF timer. And I'm also not a fan of "several light years". 1 system range, possibly a constellation. The module would show as a beacon on overview as well.

Of course, another response would be.. you want to cut an aliances moon mining? All you have to do is reinforce the tower. Bam, no mining at all.

Awesome quote!

But seriously, isn't this a tad redundant considering they're planning on doing away with moon mining altogether?

Removing moon mining? I've only heard of the T2 Moon goo pressure valve idea.

Quote from CCP Fozzie's dev blog:

"The end goal is for the materials for tech two production to come from player activities that require group gameplay and risk taking, and that provide appropriate rewards."

Yes, this doesn't specifically state that they're removing passive moon mining completely but definitely suggests it.
