What's the difference? You post on your main and you're still considered a joke/troll.

lol would you look at all this whiney crap feedback...

eddie: I began play in 2003, seen this many times in the past, first time in recent years tho.

dunan: ""This is in now way an exploit.

Please OP take a moment and think about what you just post. I'll help you be translating it:

" please CCP nerf physics because I'm so aweful at this game even the law of conservations are ******* with me """

And next your going to say you know something about physics? okay lets hear it .. since I do that for a living, this should be really funny.

Stoner: really? you get out much?

Ra Jackson: I answered the relevant posts, just read and you'll see. It's all there. Much of the discussion shifted to "is it an exploit", I answered, yes according to the GM who said it becomes one dependent on number of cans present. Looking through old posts involving similar scenarios, there appeared to be a 6 can limit of dropped cans imposed in the past. Not sure if this is the limit the GM meant though as he did not reveal this magic number.

Anyway folks, I'm done with this thread. Mission was to alert pilots this would affect and that's been done. caio

So.... you told the people who would use a tactic that helps them kill better, of which most of them are already aware of it?

The GMs have been very clear in the past about this. If it causes people to lag out, it's a problem. If it doesn't, it's not a problem.

You stated that you got bounced around. That doesn't sound like you were getting lagged out, it sounds like you bumped into something and got dead.

Please link the post where a GM said there was a 6 can limit.

Problems with your statement.

1) only if the cans cause lag to the client loading grid is there an exploit (applies to drones, mas dropped shuttles from Orcas, etc).

2) cannot anchor cans very close to gates (and you confirm they are unachored)

3) you CANNOT bump off unanchored objects.

So, in short, not an exploit, and cannot happen the way you describe it.

Jus pokin a lil fun. If you thought this was an exploit i'd hate to see what you think of the rest of the game. Also..You did say gate gun camping.. Go look. Its kinda funny.

And yes, i get out of lowsec every day. Never once have i bumped off a can, I may have hit the gate a lil hard or warped inside of it somehow. But since i was paying attention i jus clicked "jump". Guess what happened.

Yep i jumped.

Its ok though. I still love you even though you wont be around to respond to me tryin to get you to lighten up a tad.

Signatures wer cooler when we couldn't remove them completely.

I can confirm that those cans causing big lag. Last time i traveled throu rancer, there were a sh*tload of cans arround the gate. Lag as hell. (no i didnt lost ship,im old enough (in eve years) to know how to travel throu lowsec)

Now we all know that those cans has a purpose. To catch cloaky ships (all other excuses are just lame and childish). Question is, if it is normal to blob a server database to catch a ships?

I propose that:
-it should be impossible to anchor cans inside gate grids.
-If you shoot ship near the gate, the wreck and cans it drops ,should last only about 1-2 mins, then despawns. So the attacker will have enough time to loot it/ savage it and server database will not suffer.

PS.: If you want to catch cloakies, find another way, 5-10 pilots orbiting the gate at 15km should be enought. Lagging the server is not the solution.

Hey, guess what. If there are enough cans (or other objects) to cause lag, you can petition it and have them removed.

The OP was not talking about that though. He bumped into something and got mad.

If you were in rancer there is a good chance that was negative ten's doing. Equal chance that it was a result of their permacamp or inentional.

The rule about the cans is that if you go into TI-DI while loading grid or loading grid when jumping in they will take it away, nothing else will get them taken away

This is not the rule because tidi is cluster wide, not for particular players or grids.
