Interesting.... Bear

Quote:
Over the past several months the price of the moon mineral Technetium has risen sharply, bringing some pre-existing game design issues into sharper relief. The value of these moons combined with the fact that they exist completely in one distinct region of the game has caused wealth transfers that are simply too large for the effort and risk involved. So we are going to kick Technetium in the balls.

I'm of the belief that alliances with a lack of technetium (read: Soco) don't value their space as much and thus won't fight to defend it, instead opting as they have to wait until the invading force leaves (which often happens, but not particularly likely to here). Goodfights are had by none and the game just isn't as much fun. I think nerfing tech would reincentivize sov holding and homeland defense for these alliances.

I'm all for having more formidable enemies.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

So Cobalt and Platinum, R8 and R16 moon minerals, can be magicked into technetium products.

Yes, this is going to fix moons completely. Roll

As the blog states, no. It will provide a safety valve for when the prices go up too far, though.

Our first step in fixing the moon mineral and tech two production economies is to expand alchemy to every applicable reaction.

A responsible first step in this plan...

I will also repeat that this change is only the first step in our plan to revamp the methods...

Didn't CCP mention something about this just being the first step?

oh, c'mon. it's naive and stupid to think that the tech holding alliances didn't know this were coming and have a plan for when it does happen.

pretty sure goons sponsoring permageddon is some thing to do with it, i'd wager good isk on it. not to mention look at how many moons the cfc are going to aquire with there conquest of delve etc.

Break up the mega circle jerk blob then you will get fights. Until then have fun getting blue balled.

It's not our fault the enemy doesn't match our numbers even when they can.

Well, to be fair, with jump mechanics working as they currently do they are more likely worried about huge numbers of reinforcements being portaled in.

They could have matched us in numbers equally. They chose not to. That's not our fault. Stop blaming us because our enemies are cowards even when the fights would have been even.

You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world.
