Dear CCP Phantom,

I like your Community Spotlight's! So I have an other character for your list.

His name is Chruker and his page http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/ is worth to visit, not only by manufactor's.

And don'f forget the whole team at EVE - Development Network. In my opinion the best wiki for 3rd Party-Tool Developer's.

It has nothing to do with PL spy network, right? Right?

The outright usage of logistics ships in combat was developed first and foremost by us when we realized how crappy we were with RR BS and how we kept accidentally shooting each other when we wanted to rep.

Did you use logistics in your team at AT VI?

-A- introduced logistics in big fleet fights and POS takedowns around January-March 2009, after AT VI, if my memory serves me right.

And yet, I fail to see the merit in those points..

You fail to see the essence of this game - being cold, ruthless .. where pod pilots bend the rules by eating drugs and planting chips in their brains squeezing every last bit out of their space vessels.

It's what makes it attractive and CCP delivers.

Seing posts/reactions like yours means also PL (part of) has achieved their goal too .. Sphere works!

Also dont forget us being one of the driving factors in 90% of all the eve wars in the last 5 years.

Oh, and more or less leading every single major Coalition war. Delve 2, Atlas wipe out, Max 2, Both AAA sov removals, Killing NC etc etc.

Hi CCP Developer
I didn't find place to give my suggestions, so I am write here .
Actually, new player always want to use Battle ship ASAP. New player think big ship is strong ship, it is not right, But new player don’t know, They don’t know what’s safe because they are first play EVE. Most new player leaving EVE because they were lost 1st CS or BS.
So my suggestion 1
Can you add a new mission for new play when they have CS or BS skill 1?
This special mission will give new player a CS or BS, and go to a special space, this space have some different small ships. And they can use different speed and distance and E-war to attack new player ship until ship be killed.
Actually I think teaching new player big ship still easy killed by small ship. I want new player can feel when they lost 1st BS. I want to have more friends love and live in EVE.
Suggestion 2
Can you add number setting in LP transfer? Every LP change item need click 1time now , it is troublesome when I need many items change.

Despite the hilarious broken English and it being out of place, those are actually valid points :)

funny, I dislike this blog post for being bad, but so many others are whining simply because its a 0.0 pvp entity. Many posters in this thread are showing some laughable ignorance in their criticisms. I doubt they'd be posting such things if the spotlight wasn't such a puff piece devoid of information.

+1 for doing a spotlight on St. Mio

Much butthurt this thread has.

Props to PL.

Good, bad or otherwise, once can't deny they've had an impact on Eve.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

To be honest, you are halfway correct there in saying that Grath was wrong. PL had incorporated Scimis into the LRHAC fleets all the way back in 2007 or so. We didn't use logis in POS shoots until the latter half of 2008 when we were purging all of BoB/BoB pet dyspro & prom moons with fleets of 10-20 geddons and my special snowflake laz0rhype.

I don't remember much LRHACs in 2007, more nano-hacs.

What has PL created, that has lasting impact, especially a lasting positive impact on the whole community and/or game?

From the top.

LRhacs
AFKposgeddons
Sniper Dreads (plus 5 regional dread fleets)
Gun Titans (Shamis was the first in the defense of Fountain to bring a combat fit titan on the field supported by carriers/dreads, soon picked up by IT)
Bombers (Gobbins was the first person to successfully bomb with 7 dudes in delve war 2, pick up by vee who was there)
ahacs (zealot and t3 variation)
Hellcats (we made popular and better fitting)
Firewall (Init ran the first firewall but we actually put it to good use with muninns/machs/abaddons)
Tengus (we were the first to show they are better drakes)
Slowcats
Shieldcats

I'm sure I can find a lot more, but the tl:dr of this is pretty much every 0.0 fleet comp you saw in the past 2 years was made popular/better from us.

Yeah, I'm sure they were the first ones to plate-up Abaddons and sniper-fit dreads, among all the other tactics/comps you list, that they were also the first to do...Christ.

You forgot to mention hacking the client so your pilot wouldn't show in local by the way, if memory serves.

More to the point, though:

How does this matter to the other 60-odd per cent of the player base who couldn't give two ***** about sov nullsec, and wants nothing to do with the grating ego ****-parade out there?

Hate to **** on your finely-honed delusions of importance, love, but most of the community really doesn't care.

I cant understand the negativity to PL beeing in the spotlights, since i play eve i heard of PL doing any kind of impact to players.
If ur in an corp/alliance in 0.0 and u get other alliances fighting u its fun and good fleets, if PL is against u you know ur toast.
Everyone in eve knows PL despite "false" accusations made against them for their quality in pvp both sub caps and massive capfleets.
Most alliances use PL fleetfits because they just work.

Hi five for PL they deserved it.

I don't care about 'getting mine'.

What seperates the two of us, is that I openly admit that I haven't made any significant contribution to the community. You, on the other hand, go on the forums to troll, and make it out like you've ever really added anything more than a couple tongue in cheek jabs to eve.

Well yes we were the first ones to use sniper dreads. Everyone at the time were still using close range dreads till we dropped on and completely wrecked record breaking amounts of capitals while taking minimal losses. Then people quickly switched to sniper dreads for the rest of the year. Sounds familiar? Yeah thats the cycle of almost every PL ship type we bring out.

Hey I even found a video for you :Youtube

I figured it might be easier for you to comprehend.
