You words taste like the milk of Paradise, Tamiroth.

You have heard how we have conquered myriad worlds and have purified the realms of disorders which tainted it. It is for you to fly and us to pursue, and whither will you fly, and by what road will you escape us? Our ships are swift, our missiles sharp, our lasers like thunderbolts, our hearts as hard as the mountains, our soldiers as numerous as the sand. Fortresses will not detain us, nor arms stop us: your prayers to heaven will not avail against us.—Khanid poem

With love,

I see lots of words being spun about faith and other such nonsense, apparently these words are "beautiful". How words justifying the enslavement indoctrination and destruction of entire civilisations, the death of entire worlds who would dare deny the "beauty" of these words you speak of can be considered beautiful, i cannot comprehend.

I cannot tell you about the "beauty" of words

I can however tell you of the lost beauty of Matar, the Glory and history and pride of an empire past.
You stole our beautiful words, our history, with every man woman child you slaughtered, with every world you ended.

But you gave us the beauty of death, it is a beautiful thing to witness the last moments before one gracefull stroke of a blade, swung with the vindication and justification of a tortured people, relinquishes an amarrian of his burden to religiously purify the galaxy.

It is also beautiful to burn an empire to the ground even as the zealots disbelieving eyes beg a non existent god for salvation.
You claim in your title to have once been warriors? We were once peaceful, centuries of coexisting without conflict before you came.

You do not preach salvation, you preach death pain and an end to all things.

We come for our people, but do not doubt we come for you also.

You'll fight monsters by becoming monsters? You'll protest the destruction of worlds by destroying worlds? You seek to rid the Cluster of us by becoming worse than we ever were?

How do you intend to do this? The Militia Games won't allow you to, even if you score the maximum success possible there. Pleading with Concord to allow direct invasion has also failed, and trying to directly force the issue cost the Thukkers a fleet that they had been decades in the making.

I do not think this path leads where you hope it does.

We wont become monsters, we were forced to be. The ammarians will look us in the eye and see the beast they created.
Destroying a world is a crime against all things, WE would never condone this amarrian, the captured worlds in the militia zone are merely set alight by setting fire to piles of dead slavers. Sattisfying for now. Although given the chance to orbitally bombard amarr or Sarum prime I think I could be brought around.

You hold a third of my people captive, a third of our entire race, you can paint this in a thousand colours, use word play to hide your evil, but nothing will liberate your people of your crimes until every minmatar is free from bondage.

As for you amarrian, If you do desire to meet your maker I can speed you on your way to disappointment.

Think on my words: we were forced to become monsters, we need not act like monsters.

Sounds like a debtor trying to avoid the debt collector, you hold 1/3rd of minmatar in slavery, remove all the atrocities you committed against my people and that fact would still burn in every minmatar heart.

Stop worshipping a book that promotes slavery and second class citizenship, return our people to us.
Until then, stop bandying words with me.

We come for our people

Did you just... to me?

Oh, this is special.

Open your eyes, cub.

You speak like an amarrian, weak and feeble. This talk of not becoming monsters? Open YOUR eyes. Your lack of knowledge of the battleground clearly blinds you to the work that must be done.

Cub? No. You clearly think your tiny contribution gargantuan.

If you wish to steel yourself and do what must be done to free our brothers and sisters, maybe we can see eye to eye

I would disagree.

If you knew the burning fires that tempered my cool words, you would not be able to say that my words are weak. Nor did I say we have not become monsters - you misunderstand me, it's a truth that I know well.

I would not deny you of your anger - you are Minmatar. It is one of our greatest strengths.

However, I would caution you not to burn this world of ours down with those fires of passion that burn inside.

I believe my tiny contribution to be just that - tiny. I know the battlefield well.

You have a lot to learn. I would be happy to speak to you on a more personal basis, or continue to argue if you should so desire it.

To argue with my fellow sister is not what I would ever desire. My hatred burns hot and clouds my judgment, for that I apologise.
I see the wisdom in the elders who exiled me for the good of the tribe, now more than ever.
However To give quarter to an amarrian is something I cannot do.
With time wisdom may temper my hate. For now I hone it as a weapon for the people.

Don't forget the weaponry smuggled in by the Federation and subsequent combat training. Come to think of it, what part of the Minmatar Rebellion was actually carried out solely by the Minmatar? Or the founding of the Minmatar Republic for that matter. Straight

“I doubt that history will record how fiercely we fought for our freedom. There will be no chronicles detailing the courage of Minmatar warriors or the unity of our tribes during the Rebellion. But historians will go to great lengths to make sure that other Empires take credit for ensuring our survival, and that before we were anything else, we were slaves first. On that point, future generations will be certain.”

It is no doubt true that our failings have contributed to the current state of the Minmatar existence and that our shortcomings as cultivators played an overwhelming role in the catastrophe that has become the history between our peoples. Understand however, that you cannot be made a monster, you must choose to embrace that darkness within. Choosing to embrace it will not save your people and will not save yourselves, do not forsake yourselves in your pursuit for revenge.

You would never condone it, but given the chance to bombard Amarr or Sarum Prime you could be convinced to do so? Surely you see the irony of this? Consider carefully the evils you will seek to employ in your pursuit of vengeance, for what profit will it be to your people to gain victory if you write your own history in atrocities and evils? Desperate times call for desperate measures but do not be too quick to cross the line from desperation into monstrosity.

Only a few pages in before the Matari start arguing among themselves in typical fashion... in a completely unrelated thread.

More restraint than usual! You all must be practicing quite a bit at the self-control these days. I'd have thought only a page or two but you all made it to what, 5?

Bravo!

Only a few pages in before Silas chimes in about the Matari in typical fashion. Bravo!

Horak misspoke, I chastised him quickly and that was the end of it. If it were not for the fact that I am Minmatar, I'd think that you wouldn't be running your mouth.

Please think before you comment, sweetheart.

It was the belief you had the right to cultivate in the first place that has led us to this, and the continuing belief in that "right" will lead us down an ever darkening path.

It is not our right to cultivate, it is a divine mandate that we do so.

I would suggest that, even if we did see it as a right, it is not the belief in that right that led to the conflict between our people but the way in which we pursued that right; combined with our own sins, our own failures, our own shortcomings and yes, our own evils. It is also not the continued belief in that right that will escalate the conflict further but a continued malpractice of it.

Do not mistake me, so long as you are an enemy of God, you are an enemy of mine. So long as I continue to pursue the Holy Mandate upon the Amarr, I am your enemy. It is important that we understand one another in spite of this because there remains hope for the future.
