We do have the greatest EVE-related wiki that has been ever created, which holds a metric ****-ton of information - a lot of which is publicly accessible.

We are a very helpful organisation.

A lot of the pages are only accessible by logging in, and when I tried to log in it said the special page doesn't exist.
Meh, whatever.

I hear you are bad at auth and at logging in to the proper site before going to the wiki?

Also the test wiki is bad because test is too lazy to to update theirs when they can just use the goonwiki.

I have to go through goonfleet auth? What a convoluted system just to use a wiki.

This is because the Goonfleet wiki uses the same login information as the Goonfleet Forums. It makes sense in context.

Man, had I a laugh when i saw goonswarm in this list as well... That's pretty bad for new players isn't it CCP? I mean i always find the ZOMG GOONSWARM STOLE MY SECURITY DEPOSIT threads funny and everyone who doesn't 0 research does deserve it, but a newer player may trust (I know, right?) an official "Helpful Corps" list... especially coming from CCP...

So CCP please for the love of noob delete them from the list.

You know, I'm not generally partial to any major null sec alliance (let's just say a semi-distant past taught me things :p), but I do have to ask - were you ever scammed by Goonfleet? I mean, did they actually ever hurt you in any way, shape or form? Don't get me wrong, I know they annoy a whole pile of people, but then, so do pirates declaring war on mining corps in high sec, do they not? So do those scammers in Jita "selling very cheap Plexses!". The sooner a noobie learns that Eve isn't My little Pony Online, the better. And you know what? I BET that if said noobie jumped into a Merlin and attacked Goonswarm members, he'd be more likely to end up with them than with any other major alliance in the Galaxy.

Perceptions are an interesting things - often those that you fight and loathe end up being pretty cool chaps. Above all else, we are in Eve to have fun, so relax, take it easy and just have a good time. And if you do want to fight the goons, who said you can't? Gather 50 people, find a lone rider and engage. Worst case scenario you'll end up in a clone in high sec, big deal.

Reading this thread tickled my interes. Is it possible to join goonwaffle without being a member of the Something Awful forums, nor knowing another member? Checked out the Something Awful forums and it cost money to sign up for?

The Goons of a few years ago perhaps were a helpful organization but now, well you clearly are vested in the game and bring attention to it but are hardly a 'helpful organization'. You have been seduced by the dark side, come back to the light...wait, wrong universe. Well you are what you are, own it and stop trying to sugar coat it and say you are helping people other than yourselves.

The filthy Goonswarm masses are really scraping the bottom of the barrel if they think anyone here really cares enough to think they're relevant still.

That's an amazing level of not caring.
