Is this even POSSIBLE??

I'd like to mine with my hulk and use my orca as a hauler, ON ONE ACCOUNT?

Is it possible to park your orca in a quiet system grav site, eject, come back with your hulk from the station, mine and jettison plenty of cans in the process,

after a while, park the hulk in the Orca maintenance bay IN SPACE, get into the Orca , collect everything from the cans, fly home with everythin Bear

Possible? Anyone done it? I am just not sure if an unpiloted Orca will take a Hulk into the maintenance bay.

It is possible. People do it.

Other people steal them. Grand theft orca is a fantastic heist. Or someone may just pop it, but leaving a ship around is an invite to lose said ship into someone elses hanger.

Orcas hold two hulks I have heard. I have not flown or used either so it is pure hearsay.

I will advise, with every bit of my being, not to do this. My corp has picked up its share of orca and hulks this way.

I second this advice. In fact, I spent considerable effort to open a second account and create an Orca alt on it to rather than leaving it unpiloted somewhere and risk the possible catastrophe of losing an Orca.

When you go shopping, do you lock your car at the store's parking lot, or do you leave the doors open, the key in the ignition, and all your papers on the driver's seat?

Get an alt, much easier and alot less risky.

If you target the empty Orca only the last pilot (you) can access it, so if someone enters your mining site and frantically tries to board the Orca that won't happen as long as you have it targeted. The issue ofcourse is that you then have to make a choice, if you switch from the Hulk into the Orca you leave that one behind and if the other guy is paying attention he can board your Hulk before you get the chance to scoop it up. What they can also do is bring an ECM fitted Blackbird, suicide-ECM you so you lose lock and then board the Orca.

In short, it's probably a bad idea.

My advice is: Get a friend / corpmate. Much cheaper and alot less boring.

You'd have to do it in a fairly quite system, and dscan regularly, good to kno it can be done tho. And getting another account is ........pricey Straight

Why such complications if you have a station nearby? fly the hulk back, bring the orca and scoop. Unpiloted, the orca won't provide any boost and you just leave a 400+mil boat floating unattended. So what would be the point of the process?

Don't do it, because if I find your ship floating around... It will become mine...

Do it in a null-sec system your Alliance owns and protects and has cyno jammers on, that doesn't border any contested space.

Don't do this basically anywhere else, people like me train ship skills for ships they have no intention of flying ever just so that we can steal them if they're left in space.

Confirming that I too will be adding him to the watch list and running agent locators on him with some frequency.

Orca sell orders are up to almost 700 mil. Enough to cover another month of game time. I predict the OPs next thread will be a rage quit.

Say you mined mission deadspace pockets like this, and you kept a vigilant eye on d-scan for probes. would this not be relatively safe if you warped orca and hulk back to station at the first sign of scanning and shut down the mission site, or can mission sites be scanned down without probes?

That would work. The problem is ofcourse that mining is almost by definition done by people who dislike putting in effort and/or have to play in half-afk mode, and thus a solution that requires you to check your Dscanner every 2-5 seconds is probably not logical for players like that. Not saying ALL miners are that way but the vast, VAST majority are.
