Stop trying to unified inventory my ass! Sure, the faction tab is nice, but what are all these clicky buttons? Where did my nice search tab go? Remove "ship equipment" and just spam the meta/T2 items at me, PLEASE. Keep the faction ones in a dropdown by all means, but keep stuff I actually use in an easy-to-access list.

I've seen "drone control unit"s under the "drones" section. Pretty sure it's a module.

I'm pretty sure all the drone modules fall under drones on TQ aswell.

This. All of the drone-related modules are under the "Drones" category in the market, in the sub-category "Drone Upgrades".

I don't like it either, but there are situation when it's useful. So I would say, make this search OPTIONAL. In the settings page, make it possible to switch it OFF. Everyone would be happy.

This is the part where ccp says no.
We all have requested 2 mode UI but it didn't happen, so i guess it will not happen here either.

2 Mode UI (User can choose):
1. Old UI
2. New UI

2 Market UI (User can choose):
1. Old UI
2. New UI

I'd also like to see "mouse over weapon UI" in space on or off.
So user can choose.
In PVP it's very distracting to see a black windows on your guns.

I LOVE the new system.

FINALLY I won't have 8 shuttle entries instead of 4 (blueprints getting in the way)

Took me a second to figure out that all modules are crammed into ship equipment (like how 800mm autos are mixed with 800mm armor plates) but that's not far from how it was before and I can get used to that, especially now that all the faction/deadspace/officer variations and the blueprints are separated.

The only thing I can agree with is changing the delay on module tool tips. Let that part be a slider in 10ths of a second up to 5 seconds or something.

This new search simply took the old one and categorized it, it's awesome :D

The Unified Inventory does still have its problems but as a whole I like it better for the organization it gave me. I've adapted very well to using it, letting all my cans open into the primary window and using the ships, items, and current ship cargo as secondaries that are open all the time, never move or reset or close themselves (which ironically is an issue for the ship cargo when changing ships.....lol) :D

Loving the new search bar, helps me fit ships up way faster. This combined with being able to mass fit thrashers for my corp with rigs and ammo is a godsend, thanks devs.

Great, thanks Smile... I'll look into it.

The drone control unit is listed under drone tab in the market and not under ship equipment but the blueprint section I think it listed under turrets and bays ( I might be wrong , not logged on and commenting from memory) Big smile

This is correct.

Dear Tree-View-Lover-Developerteam:

I appreciate your concerns to make the Botters Life much harder with adding a cluster Tree-View to the moved searchbar!

Please remember that some of your customers are still playing and not botting the game, for these few individuals like me i would suggest you make a default configuration that expands all Categories when searching.

The reason is as obvious as it could get. I do not want to click every single motherf.. category everytime i do a search that will initially bring a category up. As you can exspect more people to expand categories rather then close making them all expanded at first hand is the logical choise.

it actually works alright once you get used to the idea that you search on the main page and then quickbar what you need.. then blank the search bar and hit enter to return to browse.. it's funtional unlike some of the original inventory changes before they fixed them.

these changes were made because after all the modules were to the market, the market search would often return an overwhelming number of results (searching for "shield booster" returns 97 items I think).
One of the reasons we wanted to make this change was because of new players... it can be pretty overwhelming for a noob to get a list of 97 items. If all the groups were expanded by default, I think the list would still be pretty overwhelming. Keeping the "faction & storyline", "officer", and "deadspace" groups collapsed by default kind of tells the noobs that those items are probably not something they should be thinking about and keeps the list cleaner.

Keeping the groups closed by default is just cleaner... if you are not interested in some groups, you don't have to collapse them to get a better access (less scrolling) to what you are interested in. If you are interested in the groups, you open them once, and they will be expanded next time you do the search.

Expanding the categories themselves by default is maybe a little bit different... I'll talk to some people and see what they think, but I do think we want to keep it the way it is.

maybe open "standard" categories by default but keep special stuff closed (faction, blueprints ...)

not sure if thats actually practicable, it just jumped my head and i didnt spend much time thinking about it :O

I actually like it a lot better then the current situation, where your search is cluttered with officer and deadspace items you are usually not interested in anyway.

As a solution to those people that would prefer to see al results, perhaps its not that difficult to either
a) add a small button next to the root of the tree that expands / collapses all children.
b) or, have the search remember which categories you have expanded. ie. if I search for some item and expand the blueprint category, then on my next search the blueprint category is expanded by default as well. (This sounds like quite a bit more work too me)

i like the new system.

i don't know if the hideous new inventory prepared me for it, or it just isn't a terrible design. either way i can live with the new market search option thing.
