Goonswarm your helpfull player organisation

Today I noticed for the first time the little icon in the launcher saying: "Player Organisations - Helpful Corps ingame"

Man, had I a laugh when i saw goonswarm in this list as well... That's pretty bad for new players isn't it CCP? I mean i always find the ZOMG GOONSWARM STOLE MY SECURITY DEPOSIT threads funny and everyone who doesn't 0 research does deserve it, but a newer player may trust (I know, right?) an official "Helpful Corps" list... especially coming from CCP...

So CCP please for the love of noob delete them from the list.

I guess when CCP says helpful, they mean learn what it is to be scammed for everything you have early so you will be more wary in the future.

We do have the greatest EVE-related wiki that has been ever created, which holds a metric ****-ton of information - a lot of which is publicly accessible.

We are a very helpful organisation.

I would say we are very successful teachers of game mechanics, both under the metagame and otherwise.

Our method of teaching is what people take exception to.

Gotta agree with this. The goonwiki (even the public pages) can be extremely helpful to new players, with tutorials on chat clients, character creation, and eve accounts in general.

SPONSORSHIPS
If you have a user that has been a member for at least two week within GoonWaffe, they can vouch for you in place of a Something Awful verification. If you screw up, we will kick out your sponsor as well as you. You will need to know your sponsor's Goonfleet.com forum name. Enter this name in the sponsorship box. They will need to verify that sponsorship within their own GSOAR. This will then complete the verification process.

Right from our wiki page about joining so no.

Our Joining Goonwaffe page even tells you in big red letters that paying ISK to join Goonswarm is a scam. I really don't know why the filth continues to bleat about this.

Edit: Heck even doing a Google search for "Joining Goonswarm" even pops up that warning as the first result.
