Been having a issue with wine and eve.

Ubunbu 12.04 LTS
Graphcis
Nvidia Geforce 460 gtx
304.22 Driver

Processer
Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5300 @ 2.60GHz × 2

Memory
3.9 GiB

Wine 1.5.8

Under Windows i could Get anywhere from 70-140+ fps

Under wine i avrage in station 7-30 fps

out in system by station 4-13 fps

out in system 10-20 fps

I tried every graphical setting in eve to get better preformance and the stitistics are always the same .

Cant re install windows as a relitive needed to upgrade and didnt have money to buy windows so i gave them my windows 7 disc so now im on linux.

i know this is not the top of the line pc. But i think it should do better then my laptop with intel integrated graphics.

190+ fps in station 120 in space by station havent got to test further but the game itself is alot faster :P

ya its something with 1.5.8 wine that does not like my system buy 1.4 stable is perfectly fine with high fps...

Hi Seras, looks like we're having the same problem. If I get on any better with 1.5.9 I'll post here.

1.5.9 seems to have put me back to normal. During a brief test I was running smoothly with sound.

Good luck!

To be honest, I don't have a number. Visually it looks the same to me as it ever did, and it's not using 100% CPU.

With 1.5.9 I'm now getting ~160 FPS optimized for performance.
