Why are some Agents so formal?

Ever got this:

When you double-click an Agent in a station, you get a different type of window. One where the Agent says something polite like "Greetings! I love you!" and you have to click a little "Request Mission" button in order to get a Mission?

This is very annoying, I want these Agents to just hand me a Mission when I double-click them like other, normal Agents!

Space. It seems to go on and on forever. But then you get to the end and a gorilla starts throwing barrels at you.

If the agent also has locator services, then you might want to use that instead of requesting a mission. If they don't do locating, then the only reason you would want to talk to them is a mission so they default to that.

Are you just opening convos with people on the Guestlist while docked?

This.

Agents that offer location services will open with the generic greeting, and the buttons/choices you are given include "Request Mission", "Locate", and "Cancel".

If you want to know where someone is in Eve, use the Locate service. There's a fee, and then the agent will send you an eve-mail with the system the person is located in.
