Hello fellow pilots,

i have 2 accounts, first (with low SP) is DSP prober with salvager / analyzer - soon cov ops pilot. Second currently flying tengu and is also good amarr pilot. This combo works very well in Hi sec.

Because of my rather low combat knowledge i dont want to risk tengu in low / wh space. So im asking for advice which (cheaper than tengu) ship should i choose for this task (enough DPS, enough tank, agility, ...).

It does not have to have probe launcher, salvager and analyzer coz i can give these things to alt. I know i can use Drake but i would prefer something more agile.

any advice welcome

First thing : Drake is always a good choice for a cheap ship with enough tank to do pve in.

Lowsec - most t1 cruisers or assault frigates. Those sites are very easy to do in most cases.
Wormholes - depends on class.
C1 - most ships will do. Assault frigs are sufficient for the task. Drake.
C2 - drake
C3 - drake ( will take a lot of time ) or Tengu with minor pimpage ( mind the triggers )
C4 - Very pimped Tengu works but you need to be vary careful and don't screw the triggers.
C5/C6 - gang work

Don't be afraid to take your Tengu into lowsec. Just learn how to do mwd+cloak trick( practice it in hisec ) and avoid heavily camped systems ( there's usually another entry point into low or null that is not camped ). If you are using scanning alt then it gets even easier because he will be your forward scout.
I only lost two ships to camps and in both cases it was only my own fault ( one time : forgetting to warp my Tengu to safespot while my scanner scans the system and second time : activated mwd instead of cloak Lol).

Seconding this. A Tengu in low is actually very low risk. Of the three I've lost to players, only one was in a camp (and the other two were both very, very stupid mistakes on my part). Mathematically, this makes players exactly as risky as the Blood Raider 5/10 if you forget to fit a damage control. Three times...Roll

I would also offer what I do in my exploration operations....I run two accounts as well.

One Falcon that is set up as your "tool ship" to actually salvage, hack and scan.

One Pilgrim used to kill any rats at the sites.

The falcon can also jam rats which is helpful on the tougher lowsec radar sites, but nothing a pilgrim can't solo. I am not going to post fits, but you should have the general idea. Another positive, is that working together they can hunt for targets of opportunity on the pvp side without gimping too much of your setup.

Haven't yet found a lowsec radar or mag that my dualrep Myrm can't solo (250ish omnitank for about 4 mins with scanning rigs, nothing serious). Nullsec ones are doable too, at least sansha/blood raiders (distance tank).
WH radars/magnets are completely different story though. Of all wh sites those are most difficult ones, quite diffirent from usual space. Also, in lower whs (c1-c2) main profit is from nanoribbons salvage, which is huge random. I did it for some time, and now I'm in low sec again.
Just my 2 cents :)

Ishtar.

Also - Tengu with CN LSB for solo C3. With decent skills, this is the only faction mod you need to be able to do all of the sites.

Wormholes are cool, m'kay?
