Just wondering if anybody knows if these drones are still being implemented into eve at all?

Search the Eve Forums from May/June 2003 and you will see that this has been requested consistently for the last 9 years. Supposedly the technicals have now been acomplished to make it possible, but given the 9 year drought (NINE years!), I will only believe it when I see it first hand on TQ.

Here's to the day when I get tackled in my exploration ship, and go to release my ECM drones, only to find a swarm a salvage drones come out instead...

A small handfull of people have the skillbook or the skill from a leak years ago... tne drones on the other hand... who knows if they'll ever exist.

Salvaging drones are a great idea, but would pretty much kill off the usefulness of the Noctis.

Or they'd make the Noctis even more awesome, if it was buffed with a drone bay and maybe some bonuses to them.

Imagine a flight of drones, and a full rack of eight tractors.

They were announced at fanfest, Soundwave talks a little about them at the end of this interview,

He also talks about the upcoming modular POS.

He says they were not ready, waiting for art, but that they will definately be introduced.

Not really. You can make the noctis have a salvage drone bay. :)

Nah. The Noctis did nothing to properly flown Marauders, but it may have made some pilots re-evaluate why (and how) they fly one.

The Noctopus is badass enough at what it does. It does not need any help in that.

I, for one, am torn on the issue.

Mission-runner me LOVES the idea. I don't have any alts, so the ability to salvage without going back for my Noctis is attractive.

Noctis pilot me hates the idea.

Salvaging Drones are already in the TQ database (see the specs here)

Whether or not they will be implemented in the next 10 years is anyone's guess. They were supposed to go into Inferno... so maybe the wait won't be long. Who knows? Soon™

Actually, that *would* be great.

Salvaging drones would be especially useful when you warp into a belt that's got yellow wrecks all over the place left by someone who was unable to find the "abandon all nearby wrecks" button.

Wonder if there's a need for ninja-salvaging.
