We've been asking CCP for something like this for quite some time.

The Chribbate asteroid belts were my favorite.

No. I like the guy, but it's just a horrible idea. It breaks immersion and reeks of favoritism. Just because in this case some would approve of that favoritism doesn't mean it's good even for them. Others would certainly protest and some would get a ruptured cerebral aneurysm from seeing the Mittani put on the market. We're all simply better off if CCP never takes a single step down that road.

Don't name it the Chribba; that's actually not good enough of an acknowledgment for just how much he has contributed to this game.

For the annual holiday gift, create a mining ship with special mining lasers that can only mine Veldspar and call the hull a Chribba-class hull. Allow Chribba to name the ship itself.

I don't think so.

USS John F. Kennedy, HMS King George V, the IAV Stryker, M1 Abrams, M48 Patton, etc.

It's perfectly normal human nature to name these sorts of things after people.

Am I the only one that thinks the new mining frigate looks like the mule from SC2?

Maybe not Chribba...but I would call it the Veldnaugt in Chribba's honor. That and it would make sense...since a newbie flying the mining frigate is most likely going to be chewing on Veldspar on their first mining trip.

In the cat-and-mouse game that is low sec, there is no shame in learning to be a better mouse.

No, it's american and western nature. Challenger tank, the HMS Invincible, the USS Enterprise...

The world extends beyond america's borders.

Could you fanboys suck Chribba's **** any harder? You make me sick. Honestly we attacked his station in 9UY4-H in November hoping that at least some of you sycophantic nerds would turn up to defend him, but you didn't. If you really liked Chribba you'd back it up with action, not just gush on the forums about him.

Last time it was 9UY4-H, next time it'll be HED-GP.

Never name a monument/ship/building after someone until they're dead, buried, and their lack of embarrassing secrets has been confirmed.

Also, the mining frigate should be named the Veldnaught.

edit: Or maybe the name should be a timestamp in the DD:HH:MM:SS format that represents the average amount of training time it takes to get into a proper mining barge.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

Nah. Half the time or better, they're usually alive, e.g. the USS Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, HMS King George V, Queen Elizabeth II, etc.

I think you're thinking of US banknotes/coins.

The hate is strong in this one. Did Chribba steal your Cheerios in the morning?

CVN-77 is named USS George W. Bush so ships are named after alive people.

Clearly the vitriol in my post was not directed at Chribba, read again.
