Why am I getting combat/mining missions from Distribution agents?

Distribution story arcs are broken. For example, The Heiress (3 of 5) wants me to mine. Another story arc wanted me to blow up a ship. These missions are easily doable, it's just that buying a new ship every time you get a combat/mining mission is a PITA, especially when you're criss-crossing the galaxy. Do combat agents give mining missions? I don't remember doing any. This needs fixing CCP.

Sad but true, the distribution of missions was based on the first mission in the sequence.

Apart from the Heiress, there's The Rancorous Researcher where you have to blow up a space station (by shooting the exploding can, not by shooting the actual space station), then that story where the agent is setting up a POS and you go fetching "Corporations for the rest of us", cheap workers (homeless people) and stuff like that, then have to blow up a Mammoth and then defend the POS from suicide bombers.

Most security missions are only one or two steps, the complex ones such as "Recon" with three steps all involve flying into deadspace pockets. There is one courier mission in "The Midst of Deadspace" (a 5 part sequence). "Rogue Slave Trader" involves carrying 375m3 of prisoners from the Sansha slave pens, which means bringing a ship with plenty of cargo capacity (marauders, tier 3 battlecruisers, for example).

Because EVE is a harsh and dark universe, full of liars, cheats, and thieves. Mission agents are no better.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

I agree this issue is very annoying. If I wanted to mine, I would work for mining organizations.
