If this is the case, and CCP failed to inform people with recurring subscriptions, i do believe a court case may be in order Twisted

Just checked the pricing scheme posted above...

WHAT TEH **** IS CCP SMOKING?!?!?!?! SERIOUSLY!!!!!! £9.99 for 1 month game time........... £16.99 for 1 months game time of "plex" this is not only hillarious, but a blatant attempt to make the price of plex rise even higher and FORCE people into paying thier monthly subscription.

My question is this./....... Too many plex on the game CCP? ..... Maybe TOO MUCH ISK - because of bugs being allowed and ignored for far too long (fergel - FW - incursions - WH's)

1st make them moveable - so can be destroyed

2nd Bump the prices up

GG CCP you honestly just lost 6 accounts, granted paid with plex but still, this poor marketing combined with terrible customer support and even worse expansions is just NOT ACCEPTABLE anymore.

Spend less time sending stupid models up in the air tied to balloons, less time developing other FAIL games and focus on your core product. Maybe then and only then eve wont use the excuse "its a neiche" and actualy be a successful MMO.

I have just noticed that monthly subs have changed from £10 and month to £16,

That sounds... unlikely.

Cheers for the link Nirnias, I must have got them mistaken, i had always thought that the cost of a monthly sub, was the same as a plex as they perform the same desired effects more or less.

Could this be due to a fluctuation in the exchange rate?
Let me know if you find out cos I know that England is rapidly going down the tubes but my inherritance is vested there so it may be important to me ;)

I hear AUR is a pretty stable investment, no one ever seems to use it anyway...

The price of EvEs subscriptions is perhaps the reason why there are never more than 50K online. We get addicted and there is nothing that we wouldn't pay to play. But then we get burned out and start to weigh the cost against enjoyment.
The ones who made the ISK still keep their accounts valid by use of plex, never play, but acidly visit the forum regularly to spew spite and dissatisfaction.
Others go on to play different games.
Eve is expensive I agree.

Yes, the discount break for a year subscription is substantial and cost the same as 6 PLEX since the multi-PLEX discounts are not as impressive. Then again I somewhat personally regret buying a year subscription since I am already making enough to buy PLEX with ISK. One year is a very long time, and the one year package is probably best for the casual EVE player.

Eve is not expensive.

£9.99 per month, I play 5 nights per week , usually for a couple of hours per night , so 40 hours per month = 24p per hour

Single trip to cinema with my wife = £8.90 just for my ticket. film approx 2.5 hours = £3.56 per hour

Why would anyone buy PLEX with £ when you can buy them for dollars at shatteredcrystal and similar US sites? It's a lot cheaper.

Erm...no. The weight of the gold you own never changes unless you buy more or sell stock. The price of gold fluctuates on a very rapid basis.

If it didn't move how would people, myself included, make money on the side?

PLEX have always been higher, it's just the differnce between them has grown since they reduced the monthly sub and got rid of the need to use an exchange rate.

Looking at an old bill of mine:

Month sub 14.95 Euros = £12.81 (exchange rate at that time)

2 PLEX 34.99 Euros = £29.71

The world doesn't revolve around you though and not everyone plays the game that much. £9.99 per mouth is expensive and CCP try to sweeten it with deals. This is the problem with companies now days, deals are the only thing that give the impression that their prices are cheap.

Even if I only played a couple of hours per week = 8 hours per monh = £1.24 per hour is not expensive.

How cheap do you want it to be? don't get me wrong, I like a bargain as much as the next guy, but I'm just not understanding how £9.99 per month is expensive.

cheap night out on the town would cost way more than that, even if you didn't go to a club and got the bus to town and back .

hell, I spend more than that per month on sandwiches for lunch!

Think he only pulled you up on it because you were using your circumstances as a general argument.

EvE is not expensive to me, but it is to some people.
