Mainly because my left mouse button wears out because of all the dscaning.

My thought is that people that live in WH are all douchebags and they all love to both give and receive surprise buttsecks...on that im a cap pilot...corp ceo has indicated that corp is moving into w-space....is it me or is it my corp is trying to tell me something....

Then go do something else? It's a game, have fun with it. If you don't want to go to wormhole space, then just be like, "Well sorry guys, this just isn't my cup of tea." and go find some other corp that you can have fun in. Make new friends and keep the old, and so on.

Nope, nope.

Dscan is much worse

If you have a decent PI set up then you just import and export stuff around once a day and that's it. Dscan spamming can match that in half an hour let alone for the full duration of an op.

To the OP tho. Wormholes are worth it though. They provide the freedom of null sec but do so with the ability for people to be sneaky. If you're getting jumped every 5 min you pissed someone off and they have a scan alt in your system.

Otherwise your WH systems should be emptier then any null or low sec you lived in cause there are no locals but yourself :D

No hotdrops or sudden local spikes and being raped by a blob. WHs' mass limits force people to be more tactical in their forces.

And unless you live in a higher end wormhole you can't wake up one day to find your POS in reinforced, cause dreads can't jump in :D

I like wormholes, its dscan that sucks. It feels like it was never intended to be used the way it is...
A while back some guy made a thread that proposed an overhall of the scanning with passive and active sensors and gravity wells and nebulas and all kinds of cool stuff that sounded awsome. I wish CCP would hire that guy...

There's a reason people who are in wormhole corps are rarely seen in k-space.

Hmm, shall I go and bum around lowsec today and gank some frigates? Or will I stay in this hole, make eleventy bizillion ISK from blue loot and maybe kill some officer fit bhaalgorns and dread?

not ccp certified, but there is a solution.

2 screens
Get an alt with no value
get the script
set script to do directional at whatever interval u want
suprise d -scan every 5 seconds...

next script if you want fancy
alarm sounds when d-scans finds something. No need for 2cd screen

all fantasy of course.

It's eve... a million years of evolution over modern day, yet every single person still has to perform menial, mind-numbing tasks such as d-scan, mining, salvaging, warp to gate/jumpx20, invention, pi, etc because we still don't trust the machines to repeatedly push buttons for us.

Or something like that. Sometimes I get repetitive stress injuries from all of the repetition in the game and wish I could cut out some of the repetition.

If you spam dscan, you are doing it wrong.


2 methods.

1) alt at WH, you can see at a glance if anyone enters.

2) dscan every 5 or so seconds, and be aligned to begin with. That way even if you miss them, they will not be able to scram you (unless they have insta lock bomber, in which case you kill them) as you can warp off immediately.

I hit d-scan all the time. If you are using d-scan less than every 5 seconds, you are failing as a paranoid wormhole player.

Time to go hunting. Silly germans, trying to fight on a high sec hole.
