Why I Like Nullsec More Than Highsec (And Slightly More Than W-Space): The Tusen Takk Story

Yeah I had trouble gettin in Nullsec at first, for some reason I've always hated -a-, and even though I didn't like the Russians and their rmt'ing, they were the only bloc that was decent to new nullers. Then I spent time in null and admired the way Cfc and test were in and when given the opportunity, I joined SMA with my corp. then, because I had blue standings, it was easier to be recruited into GSF since they don't scam blue, and you didn't need to be active on reddit or SA (for WIdot anyways)

And that's one way to do it, and that's cool that you were able to do that. Smile I think there are many players who would be happy to have that opportunity.

Seriously, happy for you. Here's my issue; all I hear about is how Hi-sec players should come to Nul-sec and play the real game. That's all well and good, right up to the point that when some make the attempt, they get kicked back, or worse, scammed.

If you're dumb enough to get scammed or you get kicked out of a decent nullsec corp, you're not ready.

Then if no one in Hi-sec is ready, why do many of the denizens of Nul-sec continue to egg them to come out to nul-sec? That's the point of what I said. If you want to get defensive, that's ok, but honestly, I would love to see more of a bridge built for people to go play the nul-sec game.

In that case your best bet is to join a renter alliance and work your way up or join Reddit and get into TEST

Sorry, but that part of your story doesn't appeal to me - do you need a feeling of importance to log into the game? So, when you were only flying for a very tiny minor power, and you wouldn't shape anything of that game, you wouldn't want to log in and play and kill and camp?

Word spreads fast, and just like pirates that don't honor ransoms, Nul-sec players are soon tuned out when they start playing their little song.

I have no doubts that Nul-sec is fun, but honestly, some people just don't have the time to follow every trail that may or may not be built on shenanigans.

haha cheers man! go for W-space and see if you like it, it's less popular and filled with douches than it used to be so now's the time to start!

WIdot does not scam applicants either, and 99% is a good beginner alliance to join (ie they have sov and it isnt rented, which means its basically like being in TEST but without as good of an SRP). you really just have to look around, even at other options if you want to be part of the fun. even though i detest SoCo, if theyll take you in and you can get experience with them, that's a good way. you will probably be killed, drained of all of your isk, and yelled at for having too much fun in comms/chat while on an op, but it's a start i guess

its not so much of the feeling of importance (lol this is a video game for christ's sake), it's just something to do that has a purpose, and it's not just like sitting shooting newbs in highsec or scamming newbs or mining for yourself, it's you and thousands of others working together to achieve a common goal, and most of the pilots i know that are in GSF are very well off financially compared to the average highsec pubbie

if youre playing eve so that you can feel important, then you have major ego problems and are probably intolerable and forever alone irl, and should probably find a job/career that fulfills that need to feel important while simultaneously helping you succeed

Man, you used to be good. Is the Delve war gotten you tired?

Yes, we're tired, now is the time for -A- to strike back before RA loses the rest of their stuff and maybe Nulli will even return.

Ho because you think everyone in Null has 28 alts (at least) and plays at least 12 hours a day?

You obviously need to give a try to more serious null sec corporations that aren't renters exploiting everything you get or total nerds that never see the sun light.
Why some corporations in null get hundreds and thousands of characters? -because those some are mature enough to understand you might have a life and might not be there as much as you would like, but when you have numbers there are always enough people to do serious business.
You don't have to believe me but very often there's so much volunteer people in those fleets you just can't have enough place or available FC's to start another (would be full in less than 30min anyway), and have to stay there killing rats or hunting a lonely cowboy searching for a good fight (those happen very often, it's not all about blobs), it's also interesting to do some intell for haulers/industrials/raters or just go there get a fight no matter witch just to see things blow Lol

Seriously dude, you just had a very bad experience and you stay fixed on that crap. Just move on, give another try and do it properly, meet awesome people you can mock and get mock in return, drunken fleets, just pull a bunch of dudes and go bait mine somewhere open cyno and hear coms become hilarious, there's always something funny to do, there's always something good to do for you corp and alliance and sometimes yes, there's also pos shooting, it's horrible but must be done for everyone interest.

C'mon, you can't be serious if you say you're having the fun of your life staying in high sec, I can't believe this. Blink

So, you were saying that the ten of thousands of people who live in nullsec are either don't have a job, don't have a life or never go hiking or vacation of some sort? nice one.

I did try with a pretty big one. It was what it was, and if I were the only one, it would be a total non-issue. But I know it has happened to others, you know? People are going to talk about it. But at any rate, yeah, I will hop up on that pony again when the time comes, but right now I am getting my ducks lined up and everything dealt with for the time being. When I'm ready, I'll go again.

Fun of my life? Honestly, there is nothing in Eve that would even come close to that category. Blink
