Anette Inhonores, actress-singer-activist and star of sports-orientated children's show VilleActif! (which has recently concluded its first run), has appeared before journalists to publically apologize for the assault of 14-year old Tiko Sanforde, that took place as an aggravated response to a comment regarding the 11-year old's deceased mother and infant brother, tragically lost to a Sansha incursion in May last year. It is believed to have taken place during a kendu kanarma practice game at the Orvolle School of Sports & Performing Arts, of which both Inhonores and Sanforde are students of. Inhonores delivered several blows to the older boy's face after tackling him to the ground, inflicting a broken nose for Sanforde along with several bruises, while Inhonores suffered from a broken right hand and a bruised left.

A glazed, but stubborn-looking, Anette Inhonores boldly stepped before several reporters and camera drones, saying that she could "not convey the regret in [her] actions" and that she was "ashamed to let down so many fans that look up to [her] as an example". She continued by stating that her physical response "was not the right one...it is never acceptable to ever harm a fellow human being despite how much they may hurt you with words" and wanted to make clear that no one should consider her response justifiable in any way. Inhonores was not completely submissive, however; after apologizing to Tiko Sanforde and his family, she finished by saying it is "equally never acceptable to use someone's loss against them" and regretted that she was the one to show Sanforde what happens "when you push the boundaries".

Notably, Anette Inhonores was wearing a single, black volcanic earring; during the Rouvenor era, this was a mark of shame to be worn by either gender for a minimum of 7 days after a transgression was made against the accepted moral standards of society. Fashion commentators noted that Anette's hairstyle was particularly tailored to emphasize the earring. Even with the gel-bandaged right arm putting a significant dent in her public appearance, she wore a conservative blue dress that fashionistas are already scrambling to imitate, despite the negative subject matter.

Popular opinion around Anette Inhonores has been energized considerably following the incident, with reactions mixed and varied. Parents were shocked by the 11-year old's actions, but impressed to equal measure with her ability to apologize for her actions and admit fault. Certain feminine segments of society have praised Anette for standing up for herself, and were even disappointed with her feeling the need to apologize. Members of the star's own age group have done little more than gossipped about the episode; it is likely that the controversy will boost sales for Anette's upcoming debut album.

More discerning members of the population were unsurprised by Anette's actions. "The girl doesn't have a mother, and her only parent is a capsuleer who appears on misogynistic armed forces recruitment ads", said a Caldari father from Faurent, "Sure, she might fit the 'power girl' archetype, adorned in all sorts of wild girly colours, but is anyone really surprised?". Similarly, cultural commetators such as Kim Ting-Jealle for the Scope said that "Anette has been remarkably quiet and avoidant of any subject matter regarding her bereavements...she's been in the public spotlight for over a year now; it was only a matter of time before she started to show signs of cracking". Ting-Jealle finished by saying that "this is the first scandal of many that will challenge Anette's career in entertainment. Her ability to overcome it and carry on will test the mettle of her character, especially in a field so brutal and rivalrous"

Sanforde's family will not be pressing charges, though several have noted that they would likely get nowhere against the combined legal influence of a celebrity and her capsuleer father. Anette Inhonores has been banned from practicing martial arts of any style by the Orvolle Board for Martial Arts for a minimum of 3 months negotiable.

Only in the Federation would anyone see this as something that needs to be apologised for.

That little **** who gobbed off to her crossed a very firm, obvious line that should not be crossed by any decently-raised person, and she had every right to do what she did to retaliate, full-stop, endit.

Star Wars: the Old Republic may not be EVE. But I'll take the sound of dual blaster-pistols over "NURVV CLAOKING NAOW!!!11oneone!!" any day of the week.

I'm shocked at this. Surely, Seri-poo would teach his own daughter to be better than this, no? Seri always was a prissy goody-two-shoes. Always trying to 'Do whats right' even if it is he that is getting played.

Personally, I'm almost giggling that Anette had it in her. She has something that her father doesn't, hasn't had in a lonng time - that is, nerve.

Well done.

Good job kid, too bad you broke your hand though. Yeah I agree with Tarr. The rotten little sucker had it coming. He should have kept his yap shut and continued with practice instead of being a little hygiene bag. Oh, and that Scope reporter can go drink slaver hound urine as far as I'm concerned. Her opinion means fedo dung.

Boy deserved it.

Only the liberty of the individual assures the prosperity of the whole. And this foundation must be defended.

While negotiation is the preferred initial approach, sometimes fist-to-face is the only solution or gets a whole lot more done. She'd do well as a corporate diplomat.

(Chuckles darkly) If that's the case, then let's hope she doesn't "grow up" anytime soon, eh?
