I've been flying it as a brawler which has been working well, too well. I'm often primary, one of the firstto be taken out so I figured I would try a ranged build to make thing a little harder for them and keep myself up for longer.

Does anyone have any build suggestions for me?

Just off the beat I was thinking Beams, Tracking Computer, Capacitor Booster, MWD, Shield Extender with a bunch of Enhancers and Heat Sinks in the low.

Beams are a pain to fit effectively. You can get some decent fits, but they will not track as well, nor do as much damage as scorch at the same ranges.

You will also likely die just as fast (if not faster due to less effective tank) because enemies will expect you to be pulse fit and primary you anyway.

I wouldn't bother. If you're talking about engagements outside of med scorch range, get an oracle.

Harbingers are mostly for facemelting. Long range harbingers (beams) suck. The only thing that should make you to fit one, is to convince your enemy that you are going to engage at close range, while in fact you are not.

When you are in fleet, you must be sure that your weapon range matches optimal range for fleet, unless you have a specific role.

If you need to fight at ~50km, you'd better leave harbinger and grab an oracle or zealot.
