That said, buying it anyway >_>

Yes, that's terrible that a company would release a game with bugs!

Wait...

Not to be an ass...but if you are going to release a shelf game, ie non-MMO, it should work out of the box period. Any shelf ready game should not have to be endlessly patched just to get it to work. Once upon a time, you could go to the store and purchase a game and it would just work when you installed it. Somewhere over the last 5 or 6 years, being able to purchase a game that isn't horribly broken is getting more and more rare.

It's unacceptable to sell someone something that is completely broken and unusable. I can understand that happening with MMOs to a degree, but installing a game that is shelf ready on hardware that is above the minimum system requirements and has a completely up to date OS + up to date drivers is absolutely inexcusable. Hell, they can't even release console games anymore that aren't horribly broken, and that's a no brainer! You don't have to worry about an amalgamation of hardware + software with a console, and they STILL can't release working games for consoles.

The gaming industry has gone to ****, and it's really sad. Once upon a time most development shops put pride in their work, this is no longer the case, and it's only getting worse.

Bc2 was dices weakest game so far, I have high hopes for the battlefield series which stand apart from the bad company series(which where aimed for consoles).

I am getting it, (preordered).

Kinda agree with the above sentiment though, folks are getting sloppy.

I have it pre-ordered and am loving the beta. The build we're playing is at least 4 months old. So a lot of the bugs we're experiencing have already been fixed. Caspian Border is jaw dropping on my rig. I'm going to be big into this one! If you have even a passing interest in this game you should check it out.

Well I played the Beta this weekend and even on my mediocre rig it ran pretty smooth (not ultra of course). Pretty happy as I pre-ordered the damn thing without checking P
Not as much fun as BF2142, but visually very impressive.
Green unformed guys fighting green uniformed guys in a forest is a pain tough. I miss my scout drone !!!

It ran just fine on my 4-year old PC, and 9800 GT. The graphics obviously weren't maxed, but, turned up far enough to still look great without lag.
